While the whole battery situation is pretty serious,  what's the point of showing all these pictures which in reality might not be related to the Note7??  And you guys really believe every single news that they publish on the Internet??  So instead of having constructive discussions about the device,  the whole thread has become a channel to scared the sh*t out of each other?

With all the waiting and hassles, really feel like giving up. May sell it with the same pre order price upon collecting the replaced set. My ticket back to MY could already fund big portion of phone. Well done, Samsung!

Some update from samsung live chat...

1) Warranty of new unit (replacement) will start from the date of new unit collection, and from the date of old unit. Which is good news. So basically we get extra 1.5 month warranty.

2) Screen protection issue for those already purchased earlier is KIV, further announcement will be made later on this.

Why 2 years warranty? Samsung just said its screen protection warranty right?

i guess i will call up courts (i know, different company), as we're both in the same situation.
HOWEVER, i still need to deal with the warranty extension that i purchased last week.

why dont you just PM them at their FB site??

IMO Samsung replacement announcement is premature one. As OEM, the should sit down with pre-order partners (courts, telcos, seng heng etc) and streamline replacement mechanism. 

for sure people will jump reading sentence like replacement location "original place of collection" coz some people got the phone via courier.

also, people are not static like statues. some going abroad for work, some going places to study. they need to consider all aspect.

and what would happens to people who bought thru grey importers?
