I have a question. If I merely have a HLB credit card, but NO CASA, can I just HLB eConnect QR payment function? Cause I tried the other day and it failed - said I needed a HLB CASA.

Has anyone successfully used the same mobile number and email address for both the primary and supplementary Hong Leong Visa Infinite card?

I asked a banker to apply for a supplementary card, but HQ questioned why I used the same mobile number and email as the principal cardholder.

Did anyone encounter this?

i did it before, forgotten which card/bank

and i did it at separate occasion (principal -> supp), not both principal + supp card applied together, which could raise suspicion to bank officer.

another way, maybe you can try, is use different sets of mobile/email first, then later ask to update profile of the supp card later.

I am new to HL Wise card. I noticed that if we wave at petrol terminal, the transaction is recorded as petrol category. But if we swipe at counter (eg for those petrol stations that dont have cc terminal at pump station), it is reflected as Others category. Is it the same at all petrol stations ?

The problem I foresee is that if government implement to show IC only can get subsidzed petrol, then this payment will be at counter right ? Hence we will not get petrol cb anymore ? Then so wasted cannot maximise cashback.

yes, wise petrol cb based on petrol kiosk only. service station/otc is using different mcc/not petrol kiosk.

Wise needs to be less rigid and change the petrol eligibility mechanism such as allow setel reload or payment at counter.

Limited to MCC5542 since Day 1 (2014).
If swipe at counter, how HLB knows you are buying petrol or something else?

I am fine with MCC5542, don't assume you must swipe at counter in order to get cheap fuel. Cannot buy cheap fuel at pump meh (most likely Xcel and Petros cannot)?

Kiosk needs to use petrol apps to get the subsidized price. At least that is what the news are saying.

Some petrol stations should be ready to check I/C at kiosk.
Try it early next month.

Also I have seen a petrol station set up a special booth near the pumps.

This transaction appear twice in my credit card, I haven't even referred anyone yet... but i received two transaction $0.20 CR. so i received a total of $0.40 CR is madness this kind of referral program.
