just changed to CM Hyper48 cooler. can do 2.8~3.2 with no prob (maybe more), but my ram holding me back. Can't get my ram stable even at a very relaxed timing.

+0.4vdimm 1:1 400FSB (DDR800) - 5-10-10-20 - UNSTABLE
1.32v core, the rest = stock voltage.

anymore tweaks i can do to increase the stability of my ram?

guys, quick question..

if my proc(e6300) can run stable @ 3.2ghz (460x7), it should be able to run stable at say 475x6 (2.84ghz) rite?

or is there a fsb (not total speed) limit to each processor?

there is no FSB limit but only use lower multiplier to test ur mobo's MAX stable fsb. F9 bios can do 500MHz+ fsb with no prob nod.gif nod.gif nod.gif HERE!

oh well.. i guess my mobo is the limiting factor then. I always thought that it was my processor.

My rams can run at 475 speeds (memtested them using the 4:5 divider) but my system wont be able to last in orthos for 5 seconds at 470x7 no matter how much vcore i pump in. sad.gif

I guess I should just stop this obsession of crazy-overthetop overclocking and settle at where I am rite now. 430x7 @ 1.25v.

commando. 965p rite

uik noticed on ure siggy irenic u have an em2
sish cycom conned job by putting that under performance ram..
which they said it was their distributor that sold it under performance ram...
*
it might not fall into the real performance ram due to its timing, but dont forget that mine can reach very high fsb 1080fsb @ 2.2vdimm only and stable orthos.. maybe at loose timing but not many ram can reach 1000 even at loose timing biggrin.gif
gskill hz also max out around 950fsb wink.gif

During o'c i can feel my PSU running d^mn HOT, especially at the top plat of my case .. never encounter this b4.

to support irenic..hehehe believe it..the Mushkin EM2 is really gud...im using it too..my overclock result 500Mhz DDR1000 with tight timing 4.0-5-4-10 @2.15v...if 400Mhz DDR800 it can run at 4.0-4-3-10 @1.95v same SPD timing as Mushkin XP2

Yea nice result.. but also need to top up alot to get this board.
Moreover, cant just depend on mobo. To hit 3.7Ghz also require a hi-end HSF. (they use best of the best: Tuniq tower 120) Burn cash moneyflies.gif

well it's not out yet so the price is not known, but Infinity series from DFI is unlikely to burn a hole in the wallet, well hopefully. tongue.gif
