QUOTE(deric88 @ Dec 31 2006, 02:38 PM)
anyone tried F9 yet?
*
yep im using F9 right now.

but i do regular OC only.

Speed: 2.6GHz (372x7) 1.32v - STOCK cooler
FSB: 1488MHz
Mem: Corsair XMS2 2x512 DDR2 667@744MHz 5-4-4-12 @ 1:1 Divider 2.1v

Temps:

CPU :
Idle = 45C
Load = 56C

Core #0 = idle 52C, Load 63C
Core #1 = idle 52C, Load 63C

temps recorded from Everest Ultimate 2006 v3.5 and TAT

my question:

are the temps normal with the oc setting? and can i push few hundreds more MHz?

my 1st intel machine. just got it yesterday. biggrin.gif

hope C2D pros can guide me through ultimate OC of my pc with the spec.

Yea.. normally most E6300 capable to hit 400fsb with stock or lower vCore.
I think 400fsb is a sweet spot if u dont wanna stress yuor proc too much.
*
hmm thx.

i'll give it a try.

tried to ramp up to 2.8GHz but no luck. sad.gif

only can hold less than 1 freaking minute on dual prime95 cry.gif

tried to loose the ram timing to 5-5-5-15 also didnt work out. But i dont want to add more voltage on the cpu.

2.6 is my sweet spot wink.gif

2.6Ghz is a good o'c. Keep on.
BTW wht PSU u using?? Get PSU with atleast 18A for 12V rails for o'c. Then system will run more stable.
*
of course my system is running at rock stable right now. My PSU? refer to my sig down there smile.gif it has 33 amps on +12v rail. wink.gif

tested 6 hours dual prime with no probs. will test my ram using memtest later.

what's the best DS3 bios for OC? the one that can do higher clocks with less volts and tighter ram timings?

OMG! one by one ppl burn their DS3..scary lar...now makes me think twice to upgrade to F9 bios  sweat.gif
anyone uses F9 bios liao? hows the oc results? i expect it to be the best since it support higher FSB brows.gif
*
im using F9, reach 2.6 with no probs. max OC im dare not to try yet as new very good cpu cooler is required to do that. but of course u can go higher if u got BETTER cooling system and D9 chips!

QUOTE(basSist @ Jan 1 2007, 08:01 PM)
are u sure 33A for +12v rail?
*
yep

+12v = 33A
+5v = 35A
+3.3v = 35A

I mean atleast 18A for SINGLE 12V rails.
I think wht u read is total A of all 12V rails. So its 33A. Good PSU should have 36A or more.
*
My Enermax FMA 460W is v1.1 not v2.0 - so it has SINGLE =12v rail. 33A on SINGLE +12v rail is VERY good already. very stable, very low ripple and fluctuation. thumbup.gif

It should be C2.

if it really a REV.2 then why at the PCB shown rev 1?

just changed to CM Hyper48 cooler. can do 2.8~3.2 with no prob (maybe more), but my ram holding me back. Can't get my ram stable even at a very relaxed timing.

+0.4vdimm 1:1 400FSB (DDR800) - 5-10-10-20 - UNSTABLE
1.32v core, the rest = stock voltage.

anymore tweaks i can do to increase the stability of my ram?

guys, quick question..

if my proc(e6300) can run stable @ 3.2ghz (460x7), it should be able to run stable at say 475x6 (2.84ghz) rite?

or is there a fsb (not total speed) limit to each processor?
*
there is no FSB limit but only use lower multiplier to test ur mobo's MAX stable fsb. F9 bios can do 500MHz+ fsb with no prob nod.gif nod.gif nod.gif HERE!

i have problem with stability.

i OC'd to 2.8 (400x7).

ran 32m Pi - PASSED.
orthos 2 hours passed@2.8 (58c load)

but when i play games like dota for less than 30 minutes, it hang then windows got restarted. ]

i believe it's ram problem, not the processor, but not sure. what's goin on here?

ram +0.4v
MCH & FSB = +0.2
VCore = 1.35v
