QUOTE(siauann @ Dec 12 2006, 11:13 PM) kenot go higher? it should be proc tht bottleneck my oc.. mine can go up to 450x7..more than need very high vcore wic is not good for 24/7 usage i believe...tats y i play wif 400x7 + undervolt wif current setup Not all E6300 can reach 450fsb, as u can see from lyn or foreign o'c board. How much vCore u feed to hit 450 ?? Agree with u, its really not good for 24/7.. last time i also play undervolt. QUOTE(Evogenix @ Dec 12 2006, 11:12 PM) yes, got a large percentage can reach 3.5GHz above with e6400 Yes... E6600 is better. But i think its becoz of higher multiplier for oc. The extra 2mb caches only make less than 5% of performance difference. But, if wanna get e6400, rather go for e6600 with the extra caches. Every cent that spent on that extra caches are worth it. Evogenix I cant afford E6600 This post has been edited by yehlai: Dec 13 2006, 05:23 PM |

QUOTE(yehlai @ Dec 13 2006, 04:58 PM) it should be proc tht bottleneck my oc.. if im not mistaken i need to run vcore of 1.4v to stabilize the 450x7 oc Not all E6300 can reach 450fsb, as u can see from lyn or foreign o'c board. How much vCore u feed to hit 450 ?? Agree with u, its really not good for 24/7.. last time i also play undervolt. Yes... E6600 is better. But i think its becoz of higher multiplier for oc. I cant afford E6600 well if u says the E6600 will only brings 5% difference in performance then how much u think an E6400 can makes compares wif an E6300 |

im not sure.. but i saw many E6400 can easily hit 3.5Ghz or more.
If only compare the clock speed, then E6400 sure can reach higher clock. Frankly said, performance diff between E6600>E6400>E6300 can see from Super Pi is 1-2 second different.. maybe big difference in benchmark (can say small too)but cant feel diff in normal use. Anyway its quite subjective too. Price/perf ratio i think E6400>E6300 if can buy from Bulk. |

Dont need to set vCore to the lowest point.. as long as your core temp is below 55C during o'c then should be quite good d...
I undervolt becoz dont wanna stress my proc too much, not becos of trying to achive lower core temp. |
