QUOTE(t3chn0m4nc3r @ Nov 24 2006, 06:10 PM) not every1 can afford 1 shot ler... what is considered low end stuff you? ie. my board is RM680 when i bought it... it's now quad-core ready... so i juz need to resave my money and get quad-core... tat's the point of getting high-end mobo... and many of us are curious of the overclockability of high end stuff... OC low end stuff won get u anywhere... is an E6300 considered ow end? and in what kind of perspective are u looking at ? if low end stuff for day to day use than its alrite ma, dont really need sich a powerful system rite? true la, not everyone can afford high end stuff .(yeah that includes me too hehe) |

QUOTE(mmohdnor @ Dec 14 2006, 02:05 PM) guys, sorry, but its hard to say .let's say i get myself a gigabyte 965P-DS3 and a E6300 ... what is the minimum overclock speed that is easily achievable ? seems like 3ghz is a 'normal overclock' for everybody, even if using the stock HSF ... i see that most of you guys are using 7 for the multiplier and the FSB is over 430mhz for most of u ... anybody here not having 'good luck' at overclocking E6300? thanks! it really depends on ur luck. but based on paper, u shud be able to hit 2.0 - 2.5? there are other variables that have to be taken into consideration. (air flow of case, RAMs, PSU and all that) hope this answers ur question |

QUOTE(irenic @ Dec 21 2006, 11:18 AM) another good thing bout this intel board is it's very stable and no double restart.. all my previous boards did double restart (ds3,ds4,dq6,biostar 965pt, asus p5b dlx, asus p5w dh dlx).. i really hate that double restart thing.and summore if overclocking fail, u just need to switch off psu for around 10secs then it will revert the bios back to default. apparently, it doesnt occur in Abit boards and now Intel boards too. even KC's P5W64 WS Pro, if kong due to that fact, very sayang |
