let's say i get myself a gigabyte 965P-DS3 and a E6300 ...
what is the minimum overclock speed that is easily achievable ?
seems like 3ghz is a 'normal overclock' for everybody, even if using the stock HSF ...

i see that most of you guys are using 7 for the multiplier and the FSB is over 430mhz for most of u ... anybody here not having 'good luck' at overclocking E6300?

i'm also pretty tight on budget here ... any suggestion for the DDR2 for this E6300 and the 965P DS3? (with tight budget in mind ..)

is DDR2 PC5300 1gb (2x512mb) gud enuff?

it really depends on ur luck.
but based on paper, u shud be able to hit 2.0 - 2.5?
there are other variables that have to be taken into consideration. (air flow of case, RAMs, PSU and all that)

erk .. proc of coz can support 1066fsb .. just memory ddr1000 and above is not officially support, but still can use.

the biostar is definitely the best 965 chipset mobo i ever used.

yup,the best p965 mobo cheap & very OC-able

using official PT...still waiting for any mod or newest bios to release...Rabel Haven got 1 mod bios for it...but not mush diff...so i dont update it...

***there's some discussion that said Biostar 965 DLX, Biostar 965PT and Albatron PXP965 is basicly the same...they can used each other bios..do surf for more info
