Hmm not really since 965P is quite powerful on the memory bandwidth, so i think 680i will have to beat that with 1T....

Forgotten to launch CoreTemp. Anyway it's just stable enough for PI or 3DMark though... biggrin.gif

I'm really really not lucky. Got my CPU yesterday, installed everything, then install windows then suddenly got hit by lightning. rclxub.gif It burned the built in network card but everything else is fine... i think. Dunno if can RMA or i might just get another board. Thinking or getting DS4 or DQ6 pulak... doh.gif

Anyhow i think i got a rather bad batch of E6600. L704A947. I'm now running 450x8 at 1.6V. rclxub.gif Highest FSB i achieved was 475. Haven't really ran stress test or w/e but i did run superpimod and vista benchmark. Seems to run fine but windows recognizes that i'm running at 4GHz. -.-

Does all proc of the same batch perform the same?

So far managed to hit 3.78Ghz using 420x9 with 1.57vore. increase to 422 and it wont boot at all. further increase to 425, POST okay but crashed while loading windows.

3.78Ghz

bro... full load should not be 110-120'C ler....

mine...at full load... reach about 77'C only...

i think better lower down ur freq...110'C definitely overkills ur proc liao...

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jun 20 2007, 11:53 AM)
not full load bro. partial load and stuff. on orthos stress test full load 100% all 4 cores are around 110-120celcius :/

my vcore is only 1.4

i intended to have it live through 3-5 years... hoping longer... lol
cuz the next pc purchase will also be on a similiar budget and if it cant live through 4-5 years at least my pocket will die lol

yup...my Q6600 on load reached about 70ish...all core stressed 100%...how's ur mobo temp?...cpu fan blowing or sucking...some time changing that direction does help...i have delta triblade blowing the ttbtvx...idle around 40...sucking would be near 50c...huge diff there
still the delta (the temp, not the fan) is quite huge...researching right now
