Anyway, from what you hv heard, those rejected are lower positions or higher ones?

From what i have read from other forums, a lot of issues, the assessment only MOM will know. Both higher or lower position has the chance to get rejected.

u should just resign and stay at home looking after your kid or your husband should
since bringing up the kid is that important, there should be only 1 breadwinner
and from what i read, your husband and you each easily earn more than a lot of couples combined.
like u said, your mum did not work because she valued bringing up the kids as more important
or did the value your mum planted into you got skewed off somewhere that it only applies to others but not u?

parents do a lot of things...some maybe too much
but most of the time, in their own way, they do it because they think this is the best for their kids.
sending kids to child care because it makes economical sense does not equate to not spending time with the kids when they are growing up.
you might influence as much as you can on how you want the kid tp grow up to become by instilling those good values
however, what they grow up to become does not solely depend on how you raise them.
being there every single moment does not mean the kid will become a replica of you.

His logic is simple
She is saying stay at home full time = prioritizing your family = best for your family regardless of the pay you sacrifice
Yet she is bringing her child to work, instead of practicing what she preaches

Unless she believes bringing her child to work is exactly the same as taking care of your child full time, which is obviously not the case

IMO, it's alright and better than leaving your kids to someone else's hands full time.
At least when they're still baby.

That's already better than average working family in SG. My manager for example, both him and his wife are working. Daughter is only 1.5 years old now full time nursery+preschool. Only bring home at night.

Sure, that's a good opinion and i can agree with that too
But you have to understand the way Fiona is making her comments, she is putting down anyone who decides to work instead of staying home with their kids

There are all kinds of situations in this world, making a hard and fast judgement like that is unfair which is what some here disagree on
