The maximum Cash Back given throughout the Campaign for every Saturday and Sunday as per
Section 5.1.1 above is allocated RM 5,000 each day respectively on a first-come, first served
basis, based on the Weekday Eligible Transactions and Weekend Spend captured in HLB
system’s transaction records. The maximum Cash Back for each Eligible Cardholder is capped
at RM 100 for each Participating Week.

Yippee no change for May 2016... but my AF kicks in on 1 May 2016, to pay or not to pay

If annual fee is in may, should we stop using the card now and wait till 28 for the cash back for last mth to be reflected before cancelling the card. If use this mth then need to wait till 28 may which the annual fees might be charged already.

So first come first served is based on weekday of weekend spend?

That's why you shall not assume that HLB is giving 10% cash back, they don't and never give 10% of cash back from the beginning.
The max cash back no matter how you do are <9%.
So tell me, why card can give you 8% of cash back hmm.gif

*
the changes will be sure. initially it was confirm that it should run on 1st of may. after 2 days, they announce that they wanted to do another change so for now the exact date is not confirm yet. prob by june of july.

can share further info on why is it delayed? any changes to the 10%? and when is the expected date for the revision?

also, is the person who responded at Cari forum an official representative by the bank?
*
they wanted to do another changes on the categories. 10% cashback i would not know yet as they scrap the previous update which mean they might change the whole thing again. expected date is not announce yet but may is not going to happen . it will probably in June or July.

I believe yes...

To HLB Card services department:

If you make it difficult to earn the cash back by removing popular categories like petrol, grocery and maintain 10 x > RM50 transactions yet still charging annual fee, then Wise card is history.
Unless you make wise card a free for life card after whatever cash back revision you are about to implement, then card members may still keep the Wise card in their wallet.

Bank wouldn't care much as long as they are not losing profit. Banks like Citibank , SCB, RHB , remove many privileges and yet they still act like nothing happen.

Banks like HLB are more into personal loan, HP, HL.

If HLB cares, they wouldn't revise their wise card 10% categories then.

As long as they are still giving 10% cb, people will still continue using it rather than nothing achieved !

Question on the 30% dining cash back campaign:
From T&C:

5.1.1 Eligible Cardholders who perform a minimum Three (3) Weekday Eligible Transactions using any of the HLB Credit Cards on Mondays 00:00:00 hours (12:00a.m) to Fridays 23:59:59 (11:59p.m.) during the Participating Week of the Campaign Period (“Criteria”) shall stand a chance to receive 30% Cash Back on Weekend Dining Spend (“Cash Back”) performed on Saturdays 00:00:00 hours (12:00a.m) to Sundays 23:59:59 (11:59p.m.)

The card use for 3 weekday eligible transactions must be also the same card swipe for weekend dining?

Can i use WISE to swipe 3 weekday transactions then use MACH to swipe weekend dining?

Wah the cashback pool for their promo is getting lower. Last year 50K per weekend, then 7K on Sat + 8K on Sun, now 5k for Sat & Sun each. I think the pool easily finished by lunch time. shakehead.gif

Edit: Clicked on the link again and the page doesn't exist. Removed? doh.gif
