They made it very clear that their special plan is for selected customers by invitation only and one sure way of getting an invitation is by porting out. The rest of their special customers are those on legacy plan without contracts. Those with contracts such as myself that get selected are far and few between because we are the least threat to port out.
*
I do agree on the legacy plan part as i was on Surfmore 75 that is not being offered anymore.

If u want to continue with maxis u should accept it as it's much better plan the one u have now. It's merely rm30 more but 10gb more data

QUOTE(FlamingFox @ Apr 2 2016, 02:28 AM)
They offered me RM188 for 15GB. Currently using RM158 for 5GB. Ask them if they can offer me another cheaper plan, they said none. They can only offer me more expensive plans because it is good for business. This stupid plan of theirs in the long term will eventually lead to their downfall.

Maxis has the best LTE coverage so far, my friends that is on Digi and Celcom always gets shitty LTE reception and also frequent disconnection from their data.
So, even if other telcos is offering cheaper price and higher data, what's the point if i can't use it when i want to?

Not to mention unlimited calls/SMS to any local phone number.
*
I agree that maxis is one of the best in service, speed and coverage. But users usually won't care about it, they only choose the service good in their location, unless they travel a lot.

Well, think about how many customers they have to call and evaluate/calculate for whatever plans they want to offer based on their usage, all i know is that whatever plan they are offering is actually based on your monthly average usage.
For my case, i am on Surfmore 75, my monthly bill is about 100-+, so they offer me RM118, and i do see some get the same plan at cheaper rate (RM98 or RM88), so maybe their monthly usage is lower that what they offered to them in average?

And i did not port out for them to offer me this, they called me. So maybe it's your turn soon, or just call in and asked to speak to the marketing dept.
*
Same case like me, I am on Surfmore 75 also, and they called me to offer RM118 for 7GB.
But dont you feel cheated that Maxis is offering ppl RM88 for 8GB, free calls and Spotify for ppl that use Maxis for less than 1 year and want to port out, while we are "loyally" paying Maxis for 4 years+ (Surfmore 75)

QUOTE(jackson5759 @ Mar 9 2016, 10:18 PM)
I'm from Sabah and now Maxis got special offer for all Sabah & Sarawak users and I don't know what exactly is the offer because Maxis is telling me there is a RM30 discount on my plan and my friend told me that Maxis told her the offer is 2GB extra data for her.

I'm very pissed off about Maxis earlier my friend decided to change her Maxis postpaid line to the Celcom postpaid plan which come with 10gb Data + unlimited calls. So once Celcom started to port her line, Maxis directly call my friend to counter offer her with this plan below

Offer 1 : Free Samsung Note 5 + RM 128 monthly + 5GB Data + Unlimited Calls & Sms + 2 Years Contract  (She rejected this offer)
Offer 2 : RM 88 monthly + 8GB Data + Unlimited Calls & Sms + No Contract (She rejected this offer)
Offer 3 : RM 68 monthly + 5GB Data + Unlimited Calls & Sms + No Contract (She say consider first please call back after 1 hour)

1 Hour passed.....

Maxis called back and she reject one more time on that offer with the reason she promised Celcom to sign with them.

Once again maxis offer her with this

Offer 4 : RM 68 monthly + 7GB Data + Unlimited Calls & SMS + No Contract (and finally she say yes and proceed with this plan)

I'm so damn pissed when I heard this. I'm loyal Maxis customer for almost 10 Years with 5 Numbers under my IC and paying much more than my friend I didn't get such offer from Maxis and once I call them I questioned them about the plan that my friend received upon her termination and change to Celcom.

Maxis Customer Service buat bodoh there say they don't know anything about that and they can do nothing and can't give me the same offer. Maxis continue says that my friend is the selected customer group for this good plan. So I questioned again how do you guys do selection? If in terms of years staying with Maxis I'm more than her, if saying usage per month I also much more than my friend. So on what basis they select their customer that can entitled to such cheap plan? Is it base on customer group who wanted to terminate the service so they are selected and I need to perform termination on Maxis and change to Celcom only they can offer me? The CS keep saying no no no.. and continue say they can't do and dont know what can they do.

This is my main line plan

RM 188 monthly + 7GB Data + Unlimited Calls & Sms + No Contract

VS

RM 68 monthly + 7GB Data + Unlimited Calls & SMS + No Contract (My friend plan)

This stupid Maxis is treating their loyal customer like "Water Fish" / Idiot and I decided to quit this stupid Telco and also posting this so anyone is still using Maxis out there can read on how Maxis treating us like "Water Fish"

And there is special promotion for Sabah & Sarawak Maxis customer with RM30 discount on plan / 2GB extra data I don't know which one is true but both are telling by Maxis Customer Service. So if West Malaysian you felt unfair you can try to call Maxis and ask is this some kind of not so 1 Malaysia? Why East Malaysian getting better offer than West Malaysian.

No wonder Maxis boss can always remain at Malaysia top 3 richest man because there is too much "Water Fish" like us give donation to him.

Bye Maxis for letting me know how stupid am I this 10 years and how expensive you are.  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif

Updated 10/03/16

called maxis again about balance to pay and check bill before i port out properly and I found that
my account still have a deposit of MYR 1200 inside.. I totally forgot about this deposit that I paid
many years ago. So I asked Maxis now all your plans don't require deposit anymore and why aren't
you refunding the old deposit to us? Maxis CS say you can only get refund up on your termination
of service with Maxis. I was like WTF now all no deposit but you still holding my money and don't want
to pay me back and say only terminate can refund deposit. FCK!
Update Again..

Just now went to settle my latest bill with Maxis so I can port out to Celcom and I heard the counter beside me porting in a digi customer and offering the RM68 plan with 5GB + Unlimited calls & sms. So I ask that counter CS what is with this RM68 plan then he say that this is the latest plan that Maxis going to launch tomorrow. Then I don't give shit about what he saying and left after I did my payment.

here is my new Celcom Sim Card! I don't give a shit if they really launch the RM68 plan tomorrow because they treated their customer like idiot and i don't feel like staying with this Maxis anymore.

user posted image

Maxis! Give me my fucking deposit worth of RM1200.00 because you told me there is no way I can get back unless I terminate the service.
Update 11/03/16

Maxis "Loyalty Department" CS just called and offer me the RM68 + 5+2GB(Sabah Sarawak Offer) + Unlimited Calls & Sms.

Then I questioned them that why I call in and request this promotion and I confirmed I'm a Maxis One Club Member + 10 years with Maxis why I dont entitle to this plan. They keep saying this is for invitation only.
And only for loyalty member. So once I asked again not because i ported out to Celcom so you give me this call? He answered NO with full confident.

So now they called me and counter offer me after I ported out to Celcom. So fucking efficient. When I reject the offer, they start defaming Celcom giving numbers don't know from where saying Celcom 4G Sucks.
Maxis is the best this and that.

After all the bullshits i got from them i insisted and say no. Then he sounds pretty pissed and ask WHY SIR WHY SIR.. I answered : Because I don't feel like staying with Maxis anymore you guys played with your loyal
customers. Then he started everything all over again..

I stop him halfway and say Decision Made. Bye Maxis. Then baru he gave up..

the number i got is from 03 2856 6000 which I Believe is their so called Loyalty Department. LOL!

anyone who want to try their luck can try calling this number and see if they can give you the same offer!

Bye Maxis and Here I COME CELCOM!

This happens to all telco as previously im with digi for so many years also till a time i tot just to keep it but at cheapest package and guess what? They told me the offer is for new subscriber and unless i port out only then i can entitle for it???? Hahaha maxis at least still counter offer back which is good as this works for banks cc also if u threaten to cancel only then they will givr free waiver and so on but if u been loyal to them they will not pay u any attention as this is so call anti attrition plans no cancellation no winback needed so is not offer to wm but only as winback offer

Digi never call me for winback cheapskate them but now im with umb which is far better than them only rm28 also i get unlimited data since no capping for now so far so good as im not a heavy user

So if want the offer just port out then u get the offer but to be fair this is the first time maxis offer such promo to EM before this never got such offer either but is a good thing they still offer as anti attrition plans for those who port out

A little bit of course, which it is being offered based on our current usage. They offer whatever that is nearest to our average usage per month, which make sense, why would they offer you something cheaper than what you are already paying?

Besides their highr charges on plans, Maxis has the best coverage and customer service so far I've seen, Digi being the worst for me.

They will have to offer something cheaper and better, because Maxis also know currently their plans are the most expensive compared to other telcos (Digi, Celcom, etc) and that is most probably the reason ppl are porting out. If they offer something more expensive, wouldnt it be even more tempting to port out?

Taking Digi for example, their current offer is RM78 for 7GB with unlimited calls and SMS (More Calls Plan) or their RM98 Plan for 10GB internet (More Internet Plan) which is a much better offer than Maxis is "officially" offering? (Of course not taking into account line stability and coverage in this sense)

Well i already port out to celcom 1st gold and then a month later to Digi 78. Double port out laugh.gif i'm happy with digi coverage and speed right now.

No comments on digi customer service though because i'm not having any problem yet. No need to contact customer service to talk about life, like maxis customers. rclxms.gif

Moral of the story, once your current contract is finished there is no reason for you to stay.

Find a better deal.

Loyalty doesn't pay.

Sucks. That's why I ported to UMobile.

Let me tell a story of since I'm using UMobile:

When I want to port out from Maxis but before port out i requested for more data with no extra charge? And I'm a 10yrs plus customers (loyal). But "NO" is "NO". But this post in Low Yat the customer since to get the offer of RM68 with 7GB plus Unlimited calls after few rejections. But why I cannot? 10yrs using Maxis is nothing?

So then I ported out and change to UMobile. RM70 with 7GB data and Unlimited calls. So I've been using it for not even a year then UMobile launched a new package of RM70 but with more data 15GB and Unlimited calls. Good thing is mine is upgraded too without any additional charges.

Can Maxis do that? Upgrade charge.. This charge that charge...

Actually now no people force by using Maxis. Not happy just port out.If you feel the celcom and digi better than maxis. Then what is the point stay at maxis.Contract not a reason because you can pay penalty and get back within few month after you move to celcom and digi.

Yup, for in city usage UMobile is as good as Maxis if not better for data speed. Maxis have been too slow to react and only want high ARPU customer base.
I ported out last year after 13 years with them. Their lost, UMobile gain!
Another thing is the data usage in 4G for UMobile is "lower" than Maxis. I am always hitting my 80% quota with Maxis but not UMobile...... confused.gif confused.gif

you got the point.depend on customer focus on quality or cost cheaper.Want cheaper thing then port out to Celcom and Digi.Want quality then only choice to stay with Maxis.Although I not very agree the counter offer way made my maxis to some of the customers.but if want try whether can get the offer just port out and wait for the call from maxis.

Mostly people is they want the counter offer but no dare to submit port out because scare later maxis didn't call them.In the heart, they still want stay maxis.

Yalo, so thats why now in process of porting out. Going to "test water" with Digi and see whether their line is acceptable in my area. If Maxis "Loyalty Team" does not counter offer with a better plan and I find that Digi has acceptable signal/data in my area, I will port all my numbers to Digi

My supp line was from Celcom Basic 38, I find their 4G line is not stable. Keep rocking back and forth between 3G and 4G, and their internet connection quite weak? So now left to consider Digi

was with maxshit for 10+ years, then ported over to umobile when they came out with the P70 plan. CS was pretty bad handling my case, even screwed up my porting (they didn't initiate port-out at their end), went to counter a few times to "talk" to them "nicely" for it to be done and they didn't offer me any counteroffer as well.

u mobile CS has been better so far, smaller crew at the counters, longer queue, but things get done, unlike maxis, more crew, average queue, but clueless staff

They say the offer is based on our current usage and and tenureship along with payment records.

For those who did not get this offer, i suggest you to enable auto-debit payment for your  account and i am sure you will get a call from them, provided you are with Maxis for over 2 years.
