I was offered 7GB for RM118 3 days ago, i was on Surfmore RM75.

They say the offer is based on our current usage and and tenureship along with payment records.

For those who did not get this offer, i suggest you to enable auto-debit payment for your account and i am sure you will get a call from them, provided you are with Maxis for over 2 years.

You are overconfident. I'm with maxis since 2000 with autodebit payment. monthly 128 (MOP). No offer at all. In fact they never offer me anything since several years. MOC member but it doesn't mean anything.  vmad.gif

I dont think so because i was on mop158+zerolution with auto-debit,  using maxis for 14 years and club member and didn't get selected. Maybe it's because i mnp on weekends.   biggrin.gif

Well, think about how many customers they have to call and evaluate/calculate for whatever plans they want to offer based on their usage, all i know is that whatever plan they are offering is actually based on your monthly average usage.
For my case, i am on Surfmore 75, my monthly bill is about 100-+, so they offer me RM118, and i do see some get the same plan at cheaper rate (RM98 or RM88), so maybe their monthly usage is lower that what they offered to them in average?

And i did not port out for them to offer me this, they called me. So maybe it's your turn soon, or just call in and asked to speak to the marketing dept.

118 for 7gb? Who in the right mind will accept the offer anyway, you can easily get that 7gb data from other telco at much cheaper rate.

Maxis has the best LTE coverage so far, my friends that is on Digi and Celcom always gets shitty LTE reception and also frequent disconnection from their data.
So, even if other telcos is offering cheaper price and higher data, what's the point if i can't use it when i want to?

Not to mention unlimited calls/SMS to any local phone number.

They made it very clear that their special plan is for selected customers by invitation only and one sure way of getting an invitation is by porting out. The rest of their special customers are those on legacy plan without contracts. Those with contracts such as myself that get selected are far and few between because we are the least threat to port out.

I do agree on the legacy plan part as i was on Surfmore 75 that is not being offered anymore.

Same case like me, I am on Surfmore 75 also, and they called me to offer RM118 for 7GB.
But dont you feel cheated that Maxis is offering ppl RM88 for 8GB, free calls and Spotify for ppl that use Maxis for less than 1 year and want to port out, while we are "loyally" paying Maxis for 4 years+ (Surfmore 75)

A little bit of course, which it is being offered based on our current usage. They offer whatever that is nearest to our average usage per month, which make sense, why would they offer you something cheaper than what you are already paying?

Besides their highr charges on plans, Maxis has the best coverage and customer service so far I've seen, Digi being the worst for me.
