QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 6 2016, 07:10 PM) I agree that is why I said everyone has own comfort zone. If it is blanked out, means it is not intended for public viewing, then others should not keep guessing and getting OT. QUOTE(cklimm @ Apr 6 2016, 08:01 PM) Even if the numbers shown accidentally, it doesn't meant to create any hoo-ha either. yes, unker goat shown us the 4.5%. some go and si si the amt. then one unker said he wan us to guess his wealth. wat logic? it only mean we can get 4.5% in br or maybe higher? QUOTE(bbgoat @ Apr 6 2016, 06:56 PM) Will u be happy if I said 500k FD ? I think sharing the info of BR 4.5% is more important than telling the actual FD amount which is 6 figures. If I said just 100k, is it important ? 500k ? Whether I am rich or not is not important. It is the info and the FD percentage we can get from BR is more important to the other forummers here. I have a feeling that it's >250k then again that remains ambiguous

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Apr 6 2016, 08:28 PM) I have a feeling that it's >250k then again that remains ambiguous It is difficult for me. I do not want to give false info neither want to give out the actual figure. BR wise the nego rate also depends on the branch involved. Would u believe if I said the figure is rather high, am I bluffing, showing off ? You can always ask BR with the amount u have and see they agree. That is what is called nego ! If they said no, then a lower % ? Nego, nego. I am also not sure if the 4.5% is the highest they can give for the 1 year.

So boys and girls, lock into high interest FD now. Don't hesitate. QUOTE "We are expecting the Fed to conduct an interest-rate hike once this year in June by 25 basis points (bps), while Bank Negara’s overnight policy rate will be cut by 25 bps in the second half of 2016,” it said in a report yesterday. http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...t-vs-us-dollar/Unker Bones, your 5% FD dream no more liao. Jalan Ong Yi How, Butterworth side ! Last Friday I called CIMB RM, she said cannot give higher than 4.3% for 12 mth FD. But I think one forummer mentioned CIMB 4.35% this week. I ended up still put the eggs in BR for 4.5%. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Apr 7 2016, 08:09 AM

just did 3 maybank gia-i account. rates of 4% is indicative, right? not too sure on the terms. just pump 1 month, 6 month and 12 month to test and 6c6c first. if it's 4%, then good. since everything is done online.

As my ankle is sprained at Sime Darby Convention Center, i couldnt walk the staircase to HLB for the 3 months 4.2% anymore.
I chose to have the Maybank 12 months 4.31% efd instead, and its rather confusing.

When OPR drops, they could change it based on their T n C.

QUOTE(yygo @ Apr 6 2016, 05:47 PM) unker, wat u put in to get 4.5%? unker bxxx Cool down guys. I just started reading all the posts from my last message yesterday & so many updates about amounts? Like bbgoat said, it really does depends on the branch. I place at 2 different branches as between these 2 branches, 1 gives better gifts while the other usually allows nego rate when actually I was informed this is not supposed to be allowed. Previously one of the officers said they look at both total amount you have currently & the current amount you plan to place with them. So far I think the nego starts at 100k & above.
