For all FD Promo campaign, should there be any changes on OPR, the bank has the right to review the rate. can anyone confirm this ?

Malaysia economy is slowing down, i have mentioned before Bank Negara needs to implement expansionary monetary policy by lowering the interest rate. With ringgit strengthening recently, BNM will wait for a while to let the RM stabilise before lowering interest rate to stimulate the economy. The other uncertainty is who will replace Tan Sri Zeti, is the person as cautious as Zeti? OPR likely to move down in second half.

Whoever said that bbgoat is trying to show off is just jelly of his wealth. Logically, if a person wants to show off, wouldn't he reveal the big amount that he has deposited, rather than conceal the numbers? The critic is just speaking out of spite and envy, maybe because he doesn't have the sufficient sum to qualify for 4.5%?  icon_rolleyes.gif

So u did get it now. thumbup.gif From the Penang main BR branch ? How about their gift ?

OK getting OT abit coz very curious..until now I don't who you guys are referring to.

Having SCB maturing next week again. Still deciding wanna go for UOB or OCBC 4.3%. With rumors of OPR gonna decrease, 15 months seems to have upper hand.

Yup, I went to the branch you suggested. Thanks!

As for the gifts, when I was in the Asst Branch manager's room waiting for the certs to be prepared, the manager came in with two full bags as a gift. I was thinking. "Wah! Two bags of gold coins!" Haha! grin.gif However, when I went home and opened them, these were what was inside - a nice, big box inside each bag which contained a towel each, two Parker pens and an Xclusive thermal mug. What an anticlimax! sad.gif

Thanks for the confirmation ! smile.gif

I actually received 2 PM's from Prai side. Another regular forummer also said he was not able to get the rate in Prai side. Maybe he can call up or go to the Penang main branch in Magazine Road and see if he can get that rate also.
