Hi all,

TM called me on Monday regarding Unifi port availability at my condo. I confirmed interest, then I received 2 emails (UniFi Service Order Confirmation and Order Submit 13000xxxxxx) contain my new user ID, residential voice number etc... also in the mail are Appointment: null Friday - 26 February 2016 | Morning (between 9am to 1pm).

Until now I never receive any confirmation call from installer or TM, does that mean I should just stay at home and wait? What else I can do to know if they are coming on the given date and time?

Sometimes the UniFi contractor calls last minute on the day of installation. I suggest you give 100 a call in th morning and see if they can get the contractor to call you or confirm the installation. I believe there's a $$$ penalty if they come and you're not at home.

Good suggestion, thanks soonwai, looks like I better call them in the morning.

Haha... yes, I think they will charge me RM200 if I'm not at home, but we can't get any discount if we're at home but they never show up... sweat.gif

Yup, of cos, I work for IT department, which I got a lot customer change a lot modem/router and I saved a lot user id and password and to do some testing purpose whenever I was on site servicing.

one more case. this is the 5th case i read in this thread, incl mine.

check the bill. if u find a line charge "voice discount", that's the problem.

i really don't know why but it seems there is some dept or section in unifi for some unknown reason seem to randomly void the discount for yr hypptv and the reversal turns up as a debit as "voice discount".

get back to your dealer/tm point, tell them, they can fix it.

dracozz said he want to use his unifi ID at his office. so can u explain to me how need to be done ? im network guy myself, so im not how u guys do it.
need to bring our own router ? how about the office network, by right it should be managed by office IT guys, you cant outrule the routing rule for that office network even tho u hv unifi id with 30mbps, unless you totalled replace the office unifi logins in the router, but normally the office router is in tight security, u normally dont hv access to it.
i know that the unifi id is controlled by centralise TM server, so it might possible to do it by login ur unifi id in that router.

or did u mean the wifi hot TM hotspot that use our unifi id as login ?

No wonder no one call me, that TM lady called my number and spoke to me, but when entering my order particulars, she keyed in the wrong number, so the contractor can't reach me. I just called TM and realized it, now have to fix another date for installation. So, today's wait is WASTED! mad.gif

From my experience, going to nearest TM Point is faster to solve your problem. I wasted 2 and half months (11 weeks to be exact) complaining to 100, twitter, email with many case ID created (& not solve), regarding installation issue. With TM Point, 1 week settle.

I have personally tried calling (which is the worst), going to the centre (waste of time but slightly effective) and through (Twitter) and i personally prefer Twitter.

It's fast, responsive and effective.

Full: Full one month charge.
Prorated: Calculated charges per day.. Usually done when price changes before the full month.

Wow this was so bad to hear about your experience with the installation. ohmy.gif

Now I think I really need to go to TM Point because since I called them up this morning, I still haven't receive a new confirmation email or any SMS (since they corrected my phone number). This is bad!

It is tedious to request permission from my work office for go home and wait for the contractor. dry.gif

Well, what about your Internet?
My Internet is RM 169 - 20 = RM 149 + RM 30 for Aneka = RM 179.
It is separated in bill.

hi all,

how's the ping for 30mbps and 50mbps?

Currently VIP20 and pint is ok in my area.
Afraid after upgrade to 30/50mbps, the ping will much worse

Just go to TM point, talk nicely with the rep. She even let me choose my preferred phone no & installation date. You can choose on Saturday too & even Sunday. TM point normally have direct contact with installation team leader, so any problem they can solve immediately.
