No wonder no one call me, that TM lady called my number and spoke to me, but when entering my order particulars, she keyed in the wrong number, so the contractor can't reach me. I just called TM and realized it, now have to fix another date for installation. So, today's wait is WASTED!  mad.gif

So sorry to hear that. Like that also can one. Sigh. Hope from now on, everything goes smoothly.

Does "cable in the apartment" refer to the connection behind or after the standard wall outlet?

is there anyway to complaint or write in official letter/email to someone to request for Unifi expansion to my area. here, the max i could get is only 1MBps doh.gif

i have tried emailing to them, calling them, so far all i get is a standard reply. "call back after 3 months", "will keep you updated once there is coverage", so on and so forth.

anyone had the same experience that im going through??

kinda getting tired. zzzz....

for that one you need to consult with your building management.

Haha.... that's so terrible, I arranged and settled so many of my work and request for return home for the installation, only to realized the installer can't reach me. I admit it was also my own fault for not go through all my details in the email properly. doh.gif

I just went to TM Point to double-check my application, and confirmed all my particulars are correct, wish to hear from the contractor soon. biggrin.gif

Hi, can I know how to configure the TM stock router (TRG212M) to be use as access point? Prefer to use my own Asus router as the main router. Thank you..

Try to get the building management involved.. I'd have to side with TM on this one.. Till it's rectified, best to downgrade your current plan and evaluate other options.

People have tried, but TM really won't expand until they are ready to. Till then, try to get as many others in your area to contact TM. From a business perspective, the expansion costs needs to be justifiable.. Aka.. Profits.

Hi all,

Regarding ping value for Unifi, since both Streamyx and Unifi are from the same provider, does their ping value the same? For online gaming, does Unifi any better than Streamyx?

Thanks! smile.gif

In my experience, unifi is much better than streamyx. Much lower ping, less stutter and you benefit immensely from the higher upload bandwidth.

it will differ due to the technology use.... unifi is fiber and ping will be lower compare to streamyx... but go to others server outside malaysia, almost same but still unifi have much benefit compare to streamyx...

Anyone here setup Unifi VOIP before? Will be using TM supplied DLink DVG-5008S VOIP gateway with a 3rd party router. Is it just as simple as setting one of the ports on the router to VLAN 400? Any tips?

I heard from sales people last time, if you can get at least 40 persons request the service, TM should expand to your area. If not, report to MCMC. Not sure it's true or not.

Request using residence assosiation is better.
