QUOTE(faizal muthakhir @ Jan 28 2016, 07:57 AM) If u do that.. u would lose close to 50% of your capital.I suggest for u to at least share with us why u chose to buy at 1.40 (which i assume the time u bought was around April or June 2015) and what's the rational for selling now at half price. Then some of the sifu here can share their input. My take is... u should consider whether there is further or any upside to be expected from: a. China operations b. Indonesia operations c. property e-commerce (property365.my) If u choose to sell your stake now, are you confident to do better with the proceeds in other investments? |

Hello everyone, CNY is round the corner and the market is still asleep. Correction Not asleep but falling off the bed. At least my fiasco AAX investment is showing some light these few days. But it a long way to go back to the Qt1 2015 prices.

I refused to average down after burning a few times doing it. Meanwhile as story unfolds and with time i learned more . I had to accept the weakness of this investment. The good thing i find is the management of this company is at least they are not sitting on warm chairs and lots of Hoo Har parties, ( Debatable i m sure by others) They were creative and i hold that factor as single most valued point. However their Finances were in horrible condition, loss quarter after quarter I suggest for u to at least share with us why u chose to buy at 1.40 (which i assume the time u bought was around April or June 2015) and what's the rational for selling now at half price. However their Finances were in horrible condition, loss quarter after quarter Share with u something...I realised that a lot of people buy a stock first then only do homework later. And some... do partial homework before buying and only do detail homework later. We humans tend to very impatient and have itchy fingers to press the "Buy" button before figuring what to do with the "Sell" button. We always think... MUST grab the opportunity now~~!! YOLO~!! Lai la quick profit~! The above applies to me as I am still human But as time passes by, we must all evolve for the better. So... need to exercise more patience, do a tonne of homework and don't get distracted easily. Just remember, it's not the end of the world if u miss a boat of opportunity. There are tonnes of such boats all year round. Just make sure u don't bet on a boat that gives u an express ticket to Holland. On AAX or AA ... Different people different assessment. I know a lot of people who won't invest in such business as it makes no sense for them to do so. Super high capex and borrowings versus minimal margins from a budget airlines. Somemore subject to the mercy of forex, oil prices and significant repair and maintenance cost. Others will say... its a good biz model. They like what they see and can "experience". AA taking up major slices of the cake all around. Winning awards everywhere. Supposedly good management and PR people like Uncle Tony. Overall sounds good, seems good but is it really that good? Does the numbers make sense to the valuation and price of the stock? Is the prospects of the Company really worth your investment now? How does the Company fare versus other competitors in the same industry (e.g MAB, SIA, Cathay etc). On a side note... alternatively, u could have invested in the warrants when it was around 4.5 to 5 cents while the mother share was at all time low. Not sure if u can still climb in on the boat now... The above is just my 2 cents. |

Yes, that will be 0.25 plus on top of the price you purchased on the open market, so this means that if you bought the rights say 3 sen, you pay 0.28 to get the free warrant. > Every shares I subscribed, I will get a warrant for it? Yes, 1 to 1. |

thanks for the heads up, the rights issue being offered was 3 right shares for every 5 existing shares, which means my cost would be RM0.75 [RM0.25x3] + RM2.00 [RM0.40x5] (assuming my buy in price for the share is RM0.40 per share) = RM2.75 / 8 = RM0.3438 (new cost per share) & on top of that i got 3 free warrants which i can convert into main share or sell it are my assumptions correct as above? QUOTE(chrisw @ Feb 1 2016, 11:54 AM) ILoveLalat.net Not really that complicated.thanks for the heads up, the rights issue being offered was 3 right shares for every 5 existing shares, which means my cost would be RM0.75 [RM0.25x3] + RM2.00 [RM0.40x5] (assuming my buy in price for the share is RM0.40 per share) = RM2.75 / 8 = RM0.3438 (new cost per share) & on top of that i got 3 free warrants which i can convert into main share or sell it are my assumptions correct as above? Let's say you have 5,000 shares in Sunzen. Assuming you hold it until the 29th of January, which from there is an ex-date, you will be entitled to 3,000 free rights shares. That means if you want the free warrants, just pay 0.25 extra for every rights hold. Nothing more than that. If you do not want the rights, you may sell off on the open market but usually depending on the situation, most of the time, the rights shares will fall on first day. Best to keep track of it just to be sure. You will have until before the 15th of February to decide on selling. This post has been edited by ILoveLalat.net: Feb 1 2016, 07:38 PM |

Hmmmmm the new levy rates for foreign workers are gonna screw up a lot of businesses that are dependant on foreign workers.
A lot of industries will be affected: manufacturing, construction, service, plantation and agriculture. I thought finding good staff/workers was already hard enough. To train and retain them is also a challenge. Now govt wants to make it even more interesting. Susah dot com. |

FBM KLCI was up 23.47 points or 1.44% to 1,656.77 – recouping more than the 20 points loss the previous day. Turnover was 2.05 billion shares valued at RM2.08bil. Advancers beat decliners 512 to 341 while 309 counters were unchanged.
Despite the KLCI's gain, analysts were mindful of the sustainability of the index's advance. "The mid-term outlook (for KLCI) is still bearish. Today's rise was more of a technical rebound," Jupiter Securities Sdn Bhd chief market strategist Benny Lee reporting. "The gains were mostly because of the rebound in crude oil prices and the ringgit today," Lee said. |

Anyone here have any idea on where I can have oil and gas news so I can have some idea on why it goes down or if it will ever goes up again. Oil prices from last year May 2015 was $ 64 until $ 30 a barrel today, depreciated more than 50 percent. So, if we think the price is very low now, people began to buy in large quantity of so-called bargain, the majority would be the winner. But the fact is not like that.In my personal view if oil prices can rise again, but it must break 50 dollars a barrel again. If it cannot break in the short term, oil prices have not bottomed out. |

QUOTE(riou666 @ Feb 14 2016, 09:31 PM) Hi, I plan on investing oil and gas company. Anyone here have any idea on where I can have oil and gas news so I can have some idea on why it goes down or if it will ever goes up again. O&G stocks have different segment, upstream, downstream, supporting operation, FPSO, drilling equipment etc, each segment is impacted in different way.Even if oil price managed to recover, it doesn't mean all segment will be flourish again. As if oil price recovers due to huge production cut, it just means less drilling activities, and those rely heavily on this segment may not able to reap the benefit of higher oil price. Somemore, if a O&G is under high leveraged one, it may not able to survive through the difficult period as well, even if oil price may recover in a much longer term future. So must be selective, and study properly. Just like 2008 financial crisis, some banks stocks share price now still less than 50% of its peak, even economy recovered and stock market indices is making historical high. |

I give up on oil and gas lol. It was not as simple as I thought. Now I'm keeping an eye on thheavy and plantation stock.
I read Thheavy used to be RM 7+, now it's on 15 sen range. This thing happen because of tabung haji 1mdb scandal or because of miss management? Anyone here know anything about this company? |

FBM KLCI may test the 1,800 level this year, as foreign funds are likely to make a comeback to capitalise on the undervalued ringgit and the gradual recovery of oil prices, said AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn Bhd (APAM) general manager Ng Chze How.
“[The FBM] KLCI is now trading 1.72 times its book value, relatively close to the trough level of 1.3 times we saw in the 2008 global financial crisis. If you look at historical trends, [the FBM] KLCI rebounded after it experienced significant declines and reached its troughs in the 1997 Asian financial crisis and 2008 global financial crisis,” he said. http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/f...?type=Corporate |

What happening..?
QUOTE Berlin Hyp ( a bank) issued €500m of covered bonds with no coupon and priced to yield minus 0.162 per cent on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg data. That means investors are guaranteed to lose money if they hold the bonds to maturity. Apparently buyers are rushing to buy bonds which have NO interest payment and PAY you LESS at maturity (hence negative interest rate). I also want that type of loan.. The world interest rate is going NUTs.. This post has been edited by gark: Mar 10 2016, 06:25 PM |

QUOTE(deity01 @ Mar 25 2016, 10:51 AM) How can we find/identify stocks that provides DRP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan)? I don't think there is any system to filter counters offering such schemes yet apart from searching from Google or through some other forums.so far, based on some google searches, seems like only Maybank, Airport, AMMB, and RHB have this plan..izzit? But, what I normally do is : 1. Check to Statement of Changes in Equity - you can see the classification of issuance of ordinary shares pursuant to DRP, issuance expenses and the dividend payment. 2. Check to Annual Report. 3. Check to the Company's website on their DRP policy. Other comp's offering DRP: UOAD, GDEX, PWROOT (see 2014). I believe there is quite a number of other comp's there with DRP. But not everyone will elect for it and instead opt for cash depending on how the market is performing. Preference is always to collect cold hard $$$ unless u don't need the money and prefer the shares instead. |

Insas will kena a bit on the profit attributable from associate and change in MV for investment in associate. Not sure if their IT division will be impacted as well. Hmmm I don't think Gtronic's bleeding is going to stop anytime soon. Valuation wise seem bad for them until they get their new products and sales up in either 3rd or 4th qtr FY16.
BAT seems to be going down hard too. Possibility to reach to 38 or 43? Harta also heading lower. |

Given the high operation costs, the ineffective enforcement in curtailing counterfeits, and the high sin tax.... it all just does not bode well for BAT.IIRC, most of the tobacco used for production is imported, as locally grown tobacco do not have enuff. |

LOL the share price can not go any lower than 0.005, can they?
Going by that logic, buying warrants at that price, there can only go up Provided the maturity is months/years ahead, and that the mother share is not delisted. |

QUOTE(watabakiu @ May 3 2016, 12:39 PM) LOL the share price can not go any lower than 0.005, can they? But you can lose 100% of the 0.005... Going by that logic, buying warrants at that price, there can only go up Provided the maturity is months/years ahead, and that the mother share is not delisted. A lot of time, if a share or warrant being traded at 0.005, the likelyhood outcome generally or mostly ended with "close shop" one. |

It'll get technical usually. |

But it is the same to all other counters A lot of time, if a share or warrant being traded at 0.005, the likelyhood outcome generally or mostly ended with "close shop" one. I think the main indicator would be the maturity date, if it nearing maturity, then yeah, that'd be the likely outcome. But if maturity is much later, there's still time... Not to concern about mother share, as in most cases, the exercise price would be more expensive than buying the mother share. |

some wise men told me that dividends are poison to warrants. as the price ex-div will be lower, so warrants would be trend lower too.

I mean, regardless of the type? Correct. Our structured warrants here are European Style warrants meaning it can only be exercised right after maturity date. Company warrants follow American Style warrants. Sometimes IBs do release American style warrants but they are really rare. One worth noting is that say HSI warrants here are European style but on the HKEX it can be both American, under options or European under structured warrants. Same goes to S&P 500 options and warrants. |

Khazanah Nasional Bhd is considering paring its stakes in three listed companies, in deals that could raise as much as RM3.6 billion (US$897 million), according to people familiar with the matter.
The state-owned investor asked banks to pitch for a role arranging the sale of about 2% each in Tenaga Nasional Bhd, IHH Healthcare Bhd and Axiata Group Bhd, according to the people, who asked not to be identified as the information is private. Khazanah, which is the largest shareholder in the three Malaysian companies, may decide to sell stock in one or all of the firms, one of the people said. http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/k...?type=Corporate |

Question for you guys. MSCI decreased CIMB and Maybank but added Public Bank.
Historically, which banks have the most NPL? Is public bank the most stringent therefore they added more? |

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ May 16 2016, 03:18 PM) oh ya sometime he call remsier sell same amount of share A thn he call remeiser buy same amount of share A end up match sendiri share.. hahaha. His justification was hilarious. It's amazing how a person can play the victim card so quickly when they get questioned. Reminds me of the catwoman scene in dark knight rises, when police came she immediately knelt down and cried then escaped unsuspectingly through the back door.his remeiser kena by bursa pulak.. i) First point he made. Too busy, too rich, too many brokers, too many trades, too high volume, too little time for average cost. Bro, you are a billionaire investor tycoon. Hire a prime brokerage to take care of all that for you. It's pennies to you. I'm not talking out of thin air, I work at a private bank for HNW individuals who take up substantial stakes in companies on a daily basis. Yes these clients do have 5 to 8 dealers on average but they all report to one prime broker/custodian who manages their books. Heck, when I once did 1 million volume on average a day, I reported all to one of our client's secretary. He just told me limit price for the day in the morning then I never called him again until end day report no. trades done and average cost. After that all paperwork was secretary and his prime broker. No billionaire tycoon or subs. holder will sit on desk and call 8 diff lines sweating then calculate average on excel sheet then plus/divide then submit to bursa. Jesus christ gimme a break, it's making me laugh thinking about it. This excuse might only fool those retail investors who think big money investors invest the same way they do. No way. Brokers give super high preferential treatment to Koon. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up his call first throughout the day and do all his average cost for him. It's the standard in this industry. ii) He then said late reporting because sometimes got lots of forms to fill. This applies to the above. But c'mon, so you telling me all those CEOs, exec directors, non-exec directors, family offices, hedge funds, pension funds, fund managers, warren buffet, carl icahn, bill ackman....they all report late? No they don't. And their volume is similar or higher than Koon. Let's see if buffet reports apple holdings late. People will be all over it. It's such a weak excuse. iii) He then said donate to schools. This has nothing to do with the subject. Yeah, donate education from your day killing in the stock market. The Nazis contributed to humanity too with the volkswagen and medical science. He is a smart investor. However, please give a more rational explanation as to the late reporting. Anything such as I had an accident/medical emergency would be better than "too rich, too many trades, too many remisiers". C'mon, coming from a billionaire investor tycoon with so much resources at his disposable. It's hilarious. |

This GOODWAY sooooo funny la.
Previous closing was 24c. Opened at 21c (12.5% down). Then around 10.30 a.m noticed a few groups started spamming to say they are collecting due to some rumours. Then now the price is at 27.5c (up by 30.95% from 21c). |

1. This Aturmju banyak champion la.
Opening price today 65c (down by 29% from previous day closing of 92c). Bounced back to high of 82c (up by 26% from low of 65c). Assuming if the share price does eventually go down back to 65c and below, then it's back to square 1. Those who bought and still holding at 1.50 to 1.60+ will lose about 60%. Crazy stuff. Question is who can spot the next "goreng" session and ride the trend successfully without getting burned. 2. BPPLAS results is looking good. Good interest today after downtrending for a bit. Today's movement looks similar to those in December - nice big white candle. |

Slowly one by one, the export comps will be reporting forex losses and lower 1st qtr net profit results. Only a few good comps are reporting better results. |

Crazy things happening for EMETALL.
Suddenly recent qtr results exploded. Share price went up to a high of 71c from previous day closing of 46.5c. That's a 52.7% gain! Anyone knows what's cooking with their Machinery and equipment segment? Can't find much details on this. ![]() This post has been edited by TC-Titan: May 25 2016, 04:47 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 27 2016, 09:56 PM) QUOTE(ILoveLalat.net @ May 27 2016, 10:21 PM) Well then Bursa after slapping themselves with a UMA, they can reply, "Um, well, actually what UMA activity is going on anyway?" It'd be awkward for BURSA to have asked the question to BURSA itself. Even more awkward to make it public! |

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jun 1 2016, 10:23 PM) LOL my comment was made to be sarcastic. Would it make sense then to go against whatever the analysts say? actually ar.. those analyst write ar..sometime betul sometime tak betul...Or the approach is to take the analysts review with a pinch of salt? so i jus read those research paper for fun unless certain thing that important i only serious go read it |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Jun 1 2016, 10:55 PM) LOL truthfully, i based my decision on which stock to pick based on the trend of the stocks i am eyeing.not that technical though; i am more interested to see the fluidity (ability to buy/sell), and the relative price/time. haha a no0b approach really, but i usually get in/out (read: buy/sell) in a short time. |

The FBM KLCI is expected to edge higher today and gear towards the 1,637 point level, in line with the overnight gains at Wall Street and European markets.
The euro declined on Thursday on the European Central Bank's cautious economic outlook, while oil prices recovered on a drop in U.S. crude inventories, erasing losses on OPEC's failure to reach a deal to set an output ceiling, according to Reuters. The crude market rebound lifted Wall Street and European stocks out of the red, removing the earlier sting from a 2 percent slump in Japanese shares. The Standard & Poor's 500 index closed at its highest level in seven months, it said. http://www2.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/...ar-towards-1637 |

now I know why Mlabs kena UMA recently
MLABS Systems Bhd has entered into heads of agreement with Bage Holdings Ltd to acquire the entire equity interest of BAGE (China) Co Ltd (BAGE HK) for RM260 million. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia Friday, the investment holding company said the proposed acquisition would be settled via the issuance and allotment of 4.0 million new ordinary shares of RM0.05 each in MLABS at an issue price of RM0.06 each. BAGE HK is a Hong Kong-based conglomerate involves in manufacturing footwear, apparels and accessories under its own proprietary brand name of 'BAGE'. -- BERNAMA |

Say the mother share is suspended. So the warrants get suspended too.
Once un-suspended, will the warrant maturity date be extended, or it will still be on the same maturity date? |

Triplc (5622) is going to make big soon.
