Beware of purchasing TVs from Desa Home Theatre. I bought a brand new lg oled c2 48 from their outlet in Kepong but when self installing it at home, i noticed some scratches near the base screws. Upon turning on the TV and checking the screen on time, it shows 140 hours. They fucking sold me a display unit claiming it was brand new. Absolute shitheads. I lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs Department today.

I used to think that as well. But the combination of 4K and OLED I believe has changed the ball-game somewhat.

I made the mistake of purchasing a 55" OLED first because I was afraid that the TV might be too big. Eventually upgraded to a 65". So, please don't be like me.

no one will complain tv is too big but otherwise instead.

yes. indeed. i switch from 32-inch tv to 55-inch OLED sony tv recently, the initial 'upgrade' is significant. now after weeks of watching it, i also find 55-inch too small. tongue.gif

but i will just settle for my 55-inch for now becos the OLED 65-inch and above is way too ex. tongue.gif
i still cannot spend so much on a tv. cannot swallow. haha.

Yea, 77" above really cannot afford right now after calculating all current commitments

So just stick with my 65" and 48" oled for the time being

yeah. the price is ... tongue.gif

OLED vs LED is also another super big gap.

a 65-inch LED tv not QLED etc. can get easily below rm3k.

but 65-inch costs rm13.5k.

so seriously if really want to go bigger size, i may compromise to go for LED instead. really cheaper by a lot.

That's actually surprising to me. I have been a long time customer with them since they still had a store in Lowyat Plaza. More recently I bought a 2021 Samsung Neo QLED and a Yamaha RX-A2A amplifier from them. Both are verified new. Guess I can't take things for granted, even with a shop I often buy from.

yeah. i saw the sony A80J 55-inch selling as brand new for rm4999 on their website. then i whatsapp them to ask if it is brand new sealed in box. they said no, it is a demo set instead. then later the tv was disappeared from the website already.

77 G3 MLA OLED seems like a worthy upgrade. Though its still very expensive now.

How many hours you got on your 65CX now?

Mine is 2900+ hours and the PQ is still great and no burn in or dead pixels yet. Though I swapped the entire panel once due to dead pixels in the very beginning.

I still can appreciate other tech like QLED and mini LED, but not normal LCD panels without local dimming. I get distracted by bleeding or blooming if it's too significant.

I appreciate the high brightness and many zones QLEDs and mini LEDs have, problem is they often have raised black floor for HDR while hitting that high brightness.

Personally I can't decide on a G3 77" or a C3 83". They're the same price and no it's not simply a mere "6-inch difference je".

G3 is significantly brighter compared to last year's G2.... which itself is already brighter than the C2/C3

why not consider S95C as well?

MLA is an upgrade yes. But so is 83".

Been on 77" for 4 years now, it's starting to look small.

QD-OLED isn't mature enough yet. I'm not sinking 30k just to "deal with the issues" over the next 5 years.
