Then i guess its fine. Now is just whether the upgrade between different models worth or not.

If TV audio all also same same lousy, then it wont affect my decision too. Whats the a, c or g series about? Or is there any other series? I assume g series is the "flagship", but whats the target audience for the a or c series?

Generally speaking, the mainline LG OLED has 2 variants: the C and G series. For last year's model, the C1 and G1 respectively, the G1 was using the EVO panel, while the C1 used the standard panel. The G1 was brighter than the C1, though that doesn't mean the C1 is bad by any means. Both the C1 and G1 has full HDMI 2.1 capabilities (4k/120, VRR, ALM).

There was also a lower end model, the A1, which was newly introduced last year. The A1 does not have full HDMI 2.1 capabilities though. So if you have any intention to use the current gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X) and enable those features, the A1 is not for you. It can only do 4k/60, with no VRR support.

There's also a B series too. I once owned an LG BX set, which did have full HDMI 2.1 support. For some reason, LG Malaysia did not bring in the B1 here. It would have been a better middle ground between the A1 and C1, since it would have been cheaper than a C1, but still had full HDMI 2.1 support. I'm not sure if LG would bring in the B2 this year. So, in order of price / performance:

A, B, C, G

All LG OLEDS have HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR support, so if you just want to use it for Netflix or Disney+, any of them will be fine. This year's model would be the A2, C2 and G2.

Ohhh, thanks. So if i dont use or plan to use gaming consoles, i wont feel the lack of full hdmi2.1 support?

Anyway, thanks! Its quite hard to find much info on the tiers for all the models. Now its clearer what to look for when i shop for it.

Pretty much yes. If you're not going to be gaming, the A1 (or A2) is enough for your needs. You still get those fantastic blacks and vibrant colors, and you still can use eARC to send audio to an AV amplifier or soundbar to get Dolby Atmos sound. And it's not that you can't use the TV for gaming; you just can't enable 120Hz mode and VRR (variable refresh rate). Considering most games don't even run at 120fps, this isn't exactly a giant issue. You can still hook up a PS5 and have a great time with the A series. Colors will still appear vibrant, blacks will still appear jet black, and you still get HDR output. However, do shop around for TV deals before making a decision. If the price difference between the A2 and C2 isn't big, just go for the C2. And of course, you can still find last year's model for cheaper prices these days.

That's actually surprising to me. I have been a long time customer with them since they still had a store in Lowyat Plaza. More recently I bought a 2021 Samsung Neo QLED and a Yamaha RX-A2A amplifier from them. Both are verified new. Guess I can't take things for granted, even with a shop I often buy from.

77 G3 MLA OLED seems like a worthy upgrade. Though its still very expensive now.

I still can appreciate other tech like QLED and mini LED, but not normal LCD panels without local dimming. I get distracted by bleeding or blooming if it's too significant.
