Beware of purchasing TVs from Desa Home Theatre. I bought a brand new lg oled c2 48 from their outlet in Kepong but when self installing it at home, i noticed some scratches near the base screws. Upon turning on the TV and checking the screen on time, it shows 140 hours. They fucking sold me a display unit claiming it was brand new. Absolute shitheads. I lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs Department today.

so inhonest. luckily i never buy from them. almost wanted to buy a sony oled tv from them becos of the cheaper price.

many resellers are so inhonest..

I used to think that as well. But the combination of 4K and OLED I believe has changed the ball-game somewhat.

I made the mistake of purchasing a 55" OLED first because I was afraid that the TV might be too big. Eventually upgraded to a 65". So, please don't be like me.

no one will complain tv is too big but otherwise instead.

Bought 65" OLED CX 3 years ago and enjoy until recently feel that 65" is small now ...
*
yes. indeed. i switch from 32-inch tv to 55-inch OLED sony tv recently, the initial 'upgrade' is significant. now after weeks of watching it, i also find 55-inch too small. tongue.gif

but i will just settle for my 55-inch for now becos the OLED 65-inch and above is way too ex. tongue.gif
i still cannot spend so much on a tv. cannot swallow. haha.

Yea, 77" above really cannot afford right now after calculating all current commitments

So just stick with my 65" and 48" oled for the time being
*
yeah. the price is ... tongue.gif

OLED vs LED is also another super big gap.

a 65-inch LED tv not QLED etc. can get easily below rm3k.

but 65-inch costs rm13.5k.

so seriously if really want to go bigger size, i may compromise to go for LED instead. really cheaper by a lot.

That's actually surprising to me. I have been a long time customer with them since they still had a store in Lowyat Plaza. More recently I bought a 2021 Samsung Neo QLED and a Yamaha RX-A2A amplifier from them. Both are verified new. Guess I can't take things for granted, even with a shop I often buy from.

yeah. i saw the sony A80J 55-inch selling as brand new for rm4999 on their website. then i whatsapp them to ask if it is brand new sealed in box. they said no, it is a demo set instead. then later the tv was disappeared from the website already.

77 G3 MLA OLED seems like a worthy upgrade. Though its still very expensive now.

C4 isn't really that much brighter than C1, not enough for a whole new display change. It's less than a 80 nits difference on a full field 100% white window (very unrealistic scene yes, even in a snowfield). On a 50% window (which is closer to most most scenes in any given movie) the difference is only ~60 nits, which is barely noticeable.

If you want OLED for a room where there's sunlight, your actual upgrade would be a G4 or G5. Honestly speaking I think you're better off with a MiniLED like the Bravia 9 instead.

Even Bravia 9 mini-led is the highest end model under Sony, the blooming still exists and contrast is again no fight with Bravia 8 or 8 mark ii.

Go for QD-OLED for the best picture quality is more worth it.

Hi guys, I went to home fair and was looking around at the LG tv section, there are selling the 55 inch C3 for RM5,499 brand new. They dint have the C4 in stock so the next available model is the latest C5. I'm currently using Sony 9000h and currently considering to upgrade to an OLED tv. Primary use is for 4K HDR streaming app, youtube and gaming on PS5. Did some research on the differences of the C4 and C3, 120hz vs 144hz, which doesn't really matter to me because I am not going to hook up my PC on the tv and also the C4 is slightly brighter in SDR and HDR content and the C4 is also slightly better in handling motion.

Is the price they are selling for the C3 worth it or should I look for the C4 as the C3 model is 2 years old. So far the cheapest price i found for the C4 is RM6,500+.

Any oled model from year 2022 onwards will look nice enough even at today.

Totally better than any LCD u can buy today even those with mini led.

The newer the oled of course will be better becos they will be slightly brighter, so it depends on ur use case if u prefer to spend the extra for the extra brightness in oled or just save the money (which personally I will prefer this option Becos the lower the price u spend on a tv, if it is spoiled later, less painful will u be and u can just use the previously save money by topping up to buy another one or to use the saved money to repair it).

from what i found from sony website, with RRP 11899 and size this big, most likely it is a X90L model. not an oled.

Rm175 per month to get 75 inch x90l for 2 years which is rm4200 only? If really the case, it is quite cheap.

But it is not oled so the overall picture quality is decent but never be great.
