Hi guys, wat is the actual diff between c9 and b9? i saw c9 selling 7999 for 55inch then b9 65inch 8888.. i am using it for my bedroom but my bedroom is where i watch movies gaming etc. i normally watch movie on my bed.. so the viewing distance is quite far.. but if gaming i don normally gaming while on the bed, so i will sit like 1.5m to the screen, so 65inch kinda overkill for that distance. currently i am using 42inch sony led tv..quite dilemma now.. c9 65inch cost a 13k.. too much for me..

You can get the C9 55 inch at around RM7k now. I'm no expert, but your viewing distance is approximate that of mine and 55 inch would be better. At the same time, a C9 would have a better features compared to a B9.

Personally if I were you, I'd get the C9.

ohh okies.. i heard c9 is more future proof also.. i think 65inch kinda overkill for my 4.5m x 3.5m room lol.. senq selling rm7999.. harvey norman 7.4k.. but i got rm500 voucher and senq got rm400 rebate for tradein. probably i just go for senq. got ez credit 10% worth rm799 also.

Anyone know what is the c9 launching price in malaysia? i see cx series in 2020 is kinda tempting with all the new features like hdr for gaming, which look like future proofing for PS5. i will definitely get ps5 day 1 so my upgrade for my 42inch led tv is actually for gaming.

If not mistaken, when C965 first launch was around $14-15 mark, but some forumer lucky enough to buy early launch set at ard 13k. FYI I bought mine last year december for 11.5k at HVM.
*
ohh ok.. what is the launching date like? i think 2020 model will delay launch due to coronavirus thingy also.. senheng still selling around 13999 but not yet include rebate those la.. 11.5k seems quite bargain from HVM tho..

It is either you want get discount price or full payment.

It does internal picture processing as well .
When you change the settings directly via menu ( like what you suggested a few pages ago ) ,  you are also losing color fidelity because you are also moving the white points around .
Dolby Vision IQ can compensate from these by adjusting tonemapping , increasing (or decrease ) color saturation to match the white point it is changing to .
It is going to be the main selling point for 2020 TV , every big brand is putting their bet on this with Samsung having their own version of DVIQ as well .
As for how much of a difference it will make , you be the judge .

Guys.. do u find LG C9 not supporting HDR10+ a problem? mkv arent able to contain dolby vision for now which c9 can only use subpar HDR10, and only streaming apps like netflix support dolby vision.

i have check that previously ppl mentioned that c8 will transform normal hdr10 to dolby vision, so is it that we will able to enjoy near to dolby vision quality hdr if we feed our tv with HDR10?

btw, does 65inch and 55inch have any technical differences? tat day i tried to test using my own pendrive, 55inch cannot detect and will hang lol.. but 65inch no problem. They tell me hdmi and usb support is diff but i dont buy it la..

Hi members. I am planning to get 55in C9 replacing my 43in Samsung UHD tv. My main use is watching live tv, Netflix, PS4 gaming, etc.

Any idea on when the c9 model is launched in Malaysia? How long will it take to launch CX models in Malaysia? Is there going to be any cut in price with the CX launch?

When I checked the price in HVN and Sneg Heng, I feel it is expensive compared to that of those available in lazada/shopee.
Is it safe to get it from online sellers?, they are offering a sealed brand new unit with 2 year LG Malaysia general warranty. some of them even offer a sound bar as free gift.
*
i think CX series will come in before mid of the year. I bought mine from sen heng, if u factor in the ezcredit actually quite alot discount. i got soundbar also but need to push them to give la. Definitely wont get price cut lo.. it doesnt cut at other place, so malaysia also same. I think CX improvement can be not too big.. especially u say u watch netflix play ps4. dolby vision iq is good at place there with bright aimbient light. Then the filmmaker mode i not sure la.. the HGIG hdr mode is available at C9 also but they say is abit scrappy koko thingy. i believe c9 price now is a bargain. if later u wait cx9 price become c9, then is end of the year. Then u will see LG come out 2021 model soon then the waiting game keep going around lol. for me i just pull trigger, today my tv coming, still thinking how to put in lol.

Just received my tv😁 really damn great color and hdr mode.. color is life like compare to normal lcd. Problem now is my HT set up, i use ARC but dunno why netflix cannot get sound over.. maybe my v475 receiver too old. The tv speaker is actually quite good for movies.. cos the surround effect is not bad. but music kenot la.. the atmos effect is better than my HT speaker lol.. i think i really should consider q80r.. and the sl5y soundbar free with the TV is quite bad.. anyone wan it? I wan let go, cheaper price also ok lol..

TV Speaker better than SL8Y? You sure? The C9 speaker was ok but it is not freaking great, especially the bass and surround part.

Did the subwoofer success connect?

Try change the setting, choose bass blast+, change woofer level to 6, center speaker to 1.
This is what I do in my current SK9Y. I know this is much higher level model which cost RM 4,999.00 official and that time I bought is RM 2,199.00 but I don't think their next level newer model SL8Y is that bad where not even can compete to it own TV speaker.

LG SL8Y official was RM 2,999.00, now is RM 1,999.00, this thing is not cheap as RM 899.00

Oops my bad. Is sl5y.. tertekan too fast lol.. sorry boss.

Ya i am looking for better soundbar now. Bro have u tested samsung before u grab lg one? I saw most review say lg high end one the soundstage kinda limited.

oh, SL5Y then I no comment. Haha!
Edit: You sure is SL5Y? I can't find SL5Y at LG official site - https://www.lg.com/my/home-audio-systems Closer to your price range was SL4.

I bought LG that time because it was cheaper.

LG one is ok but the default setting is not good where woofer like not working.

After some tuning, the sound was awesome! where the woofer need set to max level 6, with this setting it is absolutely great.

Samsung Harmon Kardon version of course better than my LG SK9Y but the price also huge differences.
*
Really is sl5y lol.. exactly tis one.

https://www.lg.com/us/home-audio/lg-SL5Y-sound-bar

I see.. ya urs is a better bargain la.. now i got senheng credit so i might will get q80r.. seems like is the best bang of buck.

Seng Heng don’t sell any receivers? If got, Yamaha 585 would be a good upgrade to your 475...your current receiver is from 2013 without any of the UHD audio and video support.

Rather than downgrading to a sound bar (flagship sound bar or not is still a downgrade compared to an average bookshelf imo) just get a new receiver to use with your existing speakers. And then slowly get a new sub, and LCR eventually.
*
senheng didnt too bad πŸ˜”πŸ˜” a 585 would cost me rm2k+... top top up abit i get top firing speaker and woofer. Actually i am now 3.0 becos my subwoofer kong.. my bookshelf is waf-1, which is a custom made speaker no brand one lol.. but is known outside.. the centre also x-cs encore.
