Rtings shows it has fantastic PQ EOTF tracking as compared to G2 for 600 and 1000 nits contents.

Not saying G2 isn’t well, just seems to me this holy grail TV got 600, 1000 nits curve right with that high brightness.

Need to wait 2 weeks for stock. Probably only set it up by end of the month, then a 100 hours run before manual calibration.

G3 should have around ~1350 nits of brightness after calibration. So yeah, would be nearly twice as bright as my current C9 77".

ah so in the end u decided its gonna be the brightness rather size upgrade congrats on the purchase

C3 83" is same price as G3 77", but since HVN gave an extra RM2k discount on the G3, that won me over.

I mean, maybe next year they release a G4 83" with MLA. Then can just sell this G3 and top up for the 83" next year upgrade.

Can you try to ask hvn to check with if this 77 G3 can buy desk stand from LG or not ? My current 65 GX is desk mount as I purchased the stand from LG. Standard G series come with wall mount brackets.

Sorry late reply of my Desa Home Theatre experience, real life stuff. Well Consumer Affairs Department acted on my complaint and contacted them. Desa Home sales fella called me and arranged to pick up the tv and replace with another new unit. This time it was sealed and really brand new.

What was sad to see however was the technician entering a special menu and reseting the TV. I believe that means the 140 hours Screen On Time counter resets to zero. I pity the next guy who ends up with that unit. I've had good experience with Desa Home Theatre in the last 10 years. Bought two tvs, an amp and speaker set, but this latest experience reminds me that as consumers we cannot blindly trust any retailer.

Yes it's G3, why would I pay for something else? They just ran out of stock that's all (IOI putrajaya HVN branch).

It's possible to reset the hours on statistic that is displayed on the users settings menu through the factory setting menu. But under the factory setting menu, there is another time on stat for the display, that one cannot be reset. But most users don't know how to access factory menu anyways, so they'll never find out.

that is a freaking nice price for 77" .
i just gotten the 65" G3 (1st OLED TV) a week ago at $4050 (SGD) from Harvey Norman SG. OLED and this MLA just freaking nice compare to previous 4k LG smart TV in the bright room.
Glad i go with G3 instead of S95C or S95B.

Using its G2 table-top stand which alot of ppl giving out for free at Carousell. (its just fit without issue for all its cover and etc.

It's an acceptable price I guess. Honestly no difference from price in comparison to last year's G2 model anyways. I was offered the same RM23999 for a 77" G2 last year also, but didn't take it because it simply wasn't a big enough improvement from a 4-year old C9.

There are CX owners on reddit who claimed that the peak brightness decreases for 04.41.45.

But another gaming youtuber I follow measured the peak brightness but no diff than previous version.

I havent updated mine to 45, so annoying that keep pop out XD
