QUOTE(user5092 @ Nov 9 2016, 05:22 PM) Budget will be <2.5k Currently I am just drinking pour over coffee. At least the espresso machine can deliver kind of stable pressure, and can come out 2 shots per day with no prblem... If you think you the kind will upgrade then save up! Under 2.5k hard to find something good. Decent possible but you have to deal with import, may it from china or Italy! https://www.espressocoffeeshop.com/index.ph...ory&path=122_87Try moka pot if you want something stronger than pour over This post has been edited by patryn33: Nov 10 2016, 12:35 PM

Just a suggestion: get a cheap fully manual machine such as a Philips Saeco Poemia or DeLonghi EC155, perhaps even secondhand. This will set you back only a few hundred. This will let you test out this brewing method. You might decide to redirect your upgrade path to a better grinder, who knows? As our senior forumer patryn33 suggests, moka pot might be an alternative. Personally my choice for extremely good strong non-espresso is Aeropress.

Save up and just jump to a hx, something like Oscar 2...dont bother with single boiler dual use machines I been using my hx now for 10 years...and it's still going strong... it's a blessing when you have guests over and they all want latte

No need to redial grind setting. The top burr doesn't move, the bottom move. Just unscrew and clean!

QUOTE(flowerhorn @ Nov 11 2016, 06:36 PM) Count me in. What brand are u ordering Actually just today and tomorrow, the shipper express beans get an 11% discount. usually if I buy 250g Purveyor its at RM 39, or 156/kg. With the 11% promotion + buying 1 kg, we can get it at RM114.80 per KG. Divide that up 4 purchasers (250g each), its only RM 28.70 per 250g. Quite a good deal.. but only for today and tomorrow. I'm interested in Purveyor and Burundi Nduweyezu Ngozi if anyone is interested
