yes even when you are not flying with the airline, as long as you are flying on any one-world alliance airline and the ticket is the same day, you are entitled for lounge access.

Also you're not restricted to just one lounge. You can lounge hop.

Guys, is it confirm that CX does not pass on YQ for award ticket?

I try to make a dummy booking on Asia Miles from LAX to HKG online but it show YQ of HKD 1000++. ITA show only USD 27.90

Why say bye bye? They say to be replaced with even better rewards right? Or is it talk only? tongue.gif

Replaced by the current ongoing 'promation'....which means only unpopular routes with low traffic.... popular destinations and peak periods will never get promotions....

Hello Sifu, just would like to check something as below:

I'm recently looking for a one way ticket CHC - KUL, I have searched for QF and SQ, apparently SQ is more higher price (extra NZD 2xx) then QF sad.gif , any commend on both airlines? My bro is SQ fan, whenever possible also SQ flight. dry.gif. Concern on two things:
- Price --> QF
- Time --> SQ

Secondly, if purchased from QF, since their Frequent Flyer under OneWorld, do you recommend which Airlines loyalty programs for earning miles ? QF or Enrich ? I do have Enrich loyalty card as well

Thanks for any advice from Sifu!!

SQ is one stop to KUL, but QF will be 2 stops and probably jetstar on sin-kul....

I find little difference in their services...in fact, if you get one of qf's refurbished 330s, the ife is pretty good...better than sq...

As to collecting miles, use the programme you more likely use in future....

Finally, consider ek with a transfer at Mel....

Thanks for your advice !

Yup, 2 stops for QF
CHC -- SYD -- SIN -- KUL

There have option for MAS from SIN to KUL

For QF from SYN - SIN, there is for aircraft A330-300, is it what you mentioned ??

Qf uses exclusively 330s to sin...they are old aircrafts but are been progressively refurbished...and the new seats and ife are pretty good... it'll be your luck, if you get the refurbished aircrafts during your flight...

I am planning the next trip via AMOWMC again. Just wondering do they allow to use stopover as transit? Any sifu can advise?

rough plan which will work, PEN-xHKG-CGO//XIY-oHKG-PEN//KUL-xDOH-oGRU-oEZE-oJFK-HKG-PEN (CX/KA, QR & AA, hate AA as only can redeem economy seat)

but doesn't feel like stop at GRU (like to make it as transit)

In fact DOH-GRU-EZE is direct flight under same flight code QR773, which consist 2 segment, it counts the route as 1 or with transit when come to AMOWMC?

Not a sifu but I think QR773 will count as transit. It's five stopovers, two transits and two open jaws IIRC.

How many miles would you like to cover

up to 35k miles.

Anyway can forget about QR773, Qatar is not releasing any seat to Americas AFAIK.

http://www.ausbt.com.au/cathay-pacific-axe...em-to-dragonair

Cathay transferring their KUL-HKG route to Dragonair.

That sucks for me, as I can no longer use Alaska Miles to redeem on this sector since KA is not part of the network.

Looks like back to AA miles then.

I found its not worth to only loyal to one airline. Like my coming flight I want to loyal to sg airline but their time is not convenient. So I need have another loyal airline

Yeah I read that as well. I had hopes to use up my Alaska Miles in CX J/F in the future, will have to do it sooner rather than later it looks like...

Alaska redemption rates on CX may change as well, it's the one bright spot in the whole FF world right now. Just hope they don't pull another Emirates fiasco.
