At last I update my tv today from Android 5 to Android 6 the sound gets better definitely 😉 ...and i suprised when saw ue630x in 60 inch last week clearance sale in senheng..my uncle interested so bought for him the 60inch ue630x for 3.2k..when I bought the price like 4k+ 2 years before for 50inch dam stomach burning 😋..still pretty satisfied with the tv...I have demo the 6800x too the hdr make differences it's more detail and the background hills the colour is more deep and crisp..the hdr make the differences but without it not a big deal too still 630x pic quality wins many current models with hdr.tested with samsung 61xx series i forget the actual series still 630x have the detail.hope this tv will last few more years 😋..

for those who's astogo 8.0.4.2 stopped working recently, and those who haven't got it but want to:


astrogo 8.0.4.2 was the only version that worked on my ue630x for a long time; other/later versions do not work.

today (or yesterday), 8.0.4.2 also stopped working, likely got phased out by astro support.

thanks to a tip from a fellow forumer/tv owner, i was able to install the latest 8.1.98 and got it to work.

app is not in playstore; also can't get it to work using normal sideload.


what i did:

install a browser (i use brave), but think chrome or other browser will work too.

search for astrogo apk, find in apkpure or other.

download, open, log in, all good.

How do you set your Astro OTG orientation?

Install adaptive rotation lock app, from playstore.

And indic keyboard, of course, also from playstore.

These 2 are prerequisites to using astrogo.

Installed already, what setting do you use for per app and global. Been playing around with the settings but still astro OTG doesn't rotate the correct way

i just realized that this rotation lock app may not be in tv playstore.

i dont know how, the login screen and the astro OTG menu orientation are off, but when i played a video the orientation become correct.
then go back to the main Astro OTG screen, the orientation also become correct. gila. but its works now.

that rotation lock app, u need to open it, activate the first option.

once this is done, the orientation will be landscape for astrogo.

however, whenever u cut off tv power or reset android, u need to activate that app again.

if not, orientation will be back to portrait.

(idic keyboard installed and set to it as well under settings, keyboard.)

There are some clearance models like the Sony 7000 series going for RM3.3k 65in but no andriod tv.. the 630x still goes for RM5k+

astrogo works on android phone n tablet too.

Current ua6800x with HDR will b a better choice. See that thread. 60in... Below rm4k, ext warranty, free gifts...

My 50ue630x already 2.5 yrs... Very tempted 2 buy a bigger one... Zero get now....

For those using astrogo to watch live match on ue630x, did anyone experience the picture quality to drop after few minutes of watching whereby the image intend to get very blurry. Have to keep on row back to the sport main page and start again. Tried on q5 pro also having the same problem. Other channels and VOD are still ok.

Only ipad can retain the image quality or will restore from the drop of image quality.

Currently on 30mb unifi and No problem with Netflix, kodi, and even UnifiPlay. Any idea how to resolve this issue?

Anyone having problem watching Youtube live video? Example when i watch Bernama Live or TV3 live.
The feed got distorted and only appeared on the top half of the screen. Is there any setting to tweak to watch?
No such problem when watching normal youtube video.

Hmmm, i am using time broadband 100MB package. No problem watching 4K video. If i reset android, what else would be affected? settings become default? factory setting?
