I have restored "movies" and now able to access HDD. I know you said certain brand of HDD don't work properly. But i have a
Western Digital HDD that i can play with the default video player but doesn't show up in Kodi. Weird. That's why i thought i can't access harddisk earlier

sensitive in more that one way.

u can also try opening up a file with es file explorer which can read the usb ports... when prompted, choose kodi player and see how.

ya, i tested again.. kodi17.1 does not seem to be able to read the usb.
likely new kodi17 requirement for the hardware and firmware upgrade.

but there is always an alternative!

from playstore, install es file explorer and mx player.
es will read the usb drive.
select drive, folder, file... when prompted, choose mx player to play.
or u can choose kodi player.

do a restart at settings/about.

check date/time setting.

if it persists, i think your ethernet or wifi is not connected properly - check connection settings.

hi bros
solution is, when restart modem, wait until modem and internet connection is ON before going to youtube - giving it a 1min lead time will suffice.

Basically netflix unable to open and requested to update to latest android firmware.

So i trigerred the network update and its pretty buggy. Most of the couldn't find and for the one time that went through i waited few hours for the package to be downloaded 38000_20170216.

After downloaded successfully the 'validation' of the package said to fail... sien..

Now using ps4 to watch netflix...

System firmware update to latest 20170216 failed due to unable to 'validate' the downloaded file via network update.

Thanks bro for the link

not so sure but i think that is a tuner, which already exist inside the TV.

what u need is an antenna, indoor or outdoor.

and yr location need to be where the transmission is currently covered.

My location is in Puchong so i think it's all covered.

someone posted something in this thread some months ago - said using just a simple indoor antenna from a DIY store, works fine.

try searching in this thread.
