Just notice some bug... after turn off / stand by the tv, when turn on again the tv doesn't seem to applying the picture setting i have set. I had to click on the remote to select picture mode then only it will apply the setting. Does it happen to other owners as well...

when u turn on the tv, the androidtv launcher comes on.

it keeps changing becos of new youtube recommendations, your last visit to a certain app, etc.

AV Mode is the correct term... LOL...

I have change mine AV Mode - Standard to my own liking such as backlight, color, advanced setting etc.

But after i turn off/stand by my tv and turn it on again the AV mode doesn't working properly. Even though the av mode remain standard but it doesn't follow my setting.

I have to press on the av mode on the remote to make it follow my setting....

Since mine already 6.0 certainly will try the latest firmware to see whether it resolve all the issues.

Sharp Technician said there will be risk when reverting back to 5.0... They have to replace the mainboard for one dealer coz the tv fail to operate after attempt to revert fail.

that shouldn't be.

for every std, movie, pc, etc. settings saved, they will apply to any hdmi input or androidtv display.

after trying the update, please post something here - how long, what difference, etc.

Only complaint I have is the tv will auto reboot sometimes when I first switch on the tv...

I have experienced this auto reboot a couple of time with 5.1, due to some bad file in kodi, i think.

You may want to check what apps u sideloaded... there are some nasty ones that can cause strange problems.

I don't have kodi.

Only Netflix, iflix, mx player, and es file browser on my android tv.

I have all of them, except MX.

If everything is same as before update, yhe problem has something to do with it.

Reboot only at startup. The update took quite a while. One hour I think.

Without updating, I could not use Netflix so no choice.

I don't know whether mine is version 5.1 or 6. Where do i look?

Launcher.. go to bottom, find settings.

Then, about... u see version.

I didn't have auto reboot issue...im using kodi too..maybe because of some app..so u having this problem once u update to latest android....complain to hq bro let them fix for u..

If u hv quasar on kodi, try a new hevc or h265 video.

It can take some, cannot take others, get a reboot...

No such issue on my android7 box.

Tech moves along very quickly... that is only to be expected...

I have some hang issue in kodi but only sometime..Didn't use quasar 😋 I will install it and try 😋..i think separate box better I have to get one like minix or himedia

a separate box surely does a lot more, esp playback the highest quality files for home theater.

however... tv with google androidtv has its advantages!

i have a few android devices of diff versions... to try diff things, diff apps, see what works best with what..

been trying a few things since a sibling is looking for a new tv.

here's what i found lately:

.. iflix works on most of my devices, incl the 4k tv.
.. hypp everywhere... does not work on some devices but works good on the 4k tv.
.. astro-on-the-go does not work on most of my devices but work good on the 4k tv.
(aotg needs a rotation lock app active to keep it landscape.)
(all 3 needs a combination of remote and mouse to navigate properly.)

so, u tell me!

but the apks to be sideloaded... gotta be the right ones... apkpure.com is a good site to get them.
