the android 6, v30800 upgrade has been aborted, at least locally.

what i understand is they hv put the upgrade on hold as there were problems reported.

if u hv successfully upgraded, good for u.

if u hv not, don't bother, stay with v20100.

New owner reporting in.

The android 6 will not be able to access to any of the drive with nfts...

Also the up scale engine seem not as good as the android 5

Really regret to upgrade to android 6.

Can backward to android 5.0? Any one can share the link to the v20100 file?

Hello, I'm the other person who upgraded my 65" UE630X to the latest version with file from previous page (Android 6).

One thing I noticed in a week is Wi-Fi lose connection after a few times. Running Kodi and then movie stopped. Not happening in my PC's Kodi using same Wi-Fi connection.

Did someone have a 20100 firmware file? I think that someone had the latest file, maybe someone has the old 20100 firmware file for downgrading.

Yep, just wondering if I can fix this alone. Curious where Sharp store all firmware version, since they give us option to do USB update.

And a user before has Android 6 file, maybe I can get the other firmware version. But if no luck, tomorrow I'll try contact Sharp in my region.

After contact sharp malaysia technical team via enquiry, they advise to perform a tv-reset. Does it make any senses? I doubt so tv-reset will revert back to android 5.1.... Anyone done tv-reset before? Please share if you have done it before.

After few months of research and viewing I've narrowed down my search for a minimum 65in tv :-

1) Philips 65in 5409 1080p with 600hz motion - rm4.4k
The good - good black levels and contrast, non reflective screen
The bad - limited features, basic TV, no 3d, no 4k

2) Philips 65in 6909  1080p, 800hz with 3d and backlight illumination - rm5.7k
The good - 800hz motion, good black levels and contrast, non reflective screen, active 3d
The bad - dated smart features, no 4k

3) Sony 65in W850C 1080p, 3d - rm5.8k
The good - good black levels, contrast, active 3d, Android tv
The bad - no 4k, reflective screen

4) Toshiba 65in L9450 4k - RM6.6k
The good - Good black levels and contrast, Android TV, 4k
The bad - no 3d

5) Sharp 70in 950x 1080p RM7.5k
The good - 4 colour screen, big screen for the money, 3d
The bad - No 4k, dated smart features

Which one would you choose given the budget of +/- RM7k?

Try the tv-reset as suggested however sadly it doesn't revert back to android 5....

That was what u got with recent update.

Factory reset should take it back to first one.

Or perhaps that update has overwritten it, becomes the factory reset?

On android, that's what happens.. Factory reset only takes you to the "default" settings of the most recent firmware. Flashing the system partition always overwrites the previous firmware.

oh, i must have not noticed it.
becos when i last flashed/reset my boxes, i thought i saw the firmware went back to the very first one.
then i install whatever version firmware i want.
will check that if i hv to do that again some time.
give above, i suppose u need a copy of 20100 on usb to revert to android5.
surely the sharp technician has a copy.

Any suggestion for 4K TV worth(value for money) rm5k and 7k each?

Can sumone explain wat is the advantage to fork out 2k extra?
