RC, any beef recommendations I can try in Sapporo?

Going on the Misaki Maguro Kippou. Visiting the tuna auction at Misaki Port before going to Jogashima Island for a short tracking hike.

Go Sapporo are not eating beef.
Sapporo are eat deer meat , lamb meat
Genghis khan bbq all the way.

If want to rat beef, i got one recomemdations but price abit high. 4000 Yen , but taste delicious.

This mean you are driving.
Then eat at Kamakura city. You can get cheap food to expensive food.

Has anyone travelled during the golden week?

I will be arriving to Haneda at night on 26 April 2016 and will spend the next 2 days in Disneyland.

After that, I plan to travel to Nagoya on 29 April. I will exchange my JR Pass on 27 April. Will I be able to book any seat on Shinkansen for the Nagoya travel on 29 April?

Disneyland will be very packed.

I will be traveling with total of 3 adults and 2 children.

I checked with crowd estimator for disneyland and it seems to be 60% full on 27 and 28 April. But 29 April would be packed. Hope the crowd estimator will be accurate.

I am planning to go to Nagoya on 29 April. Very difficult to book JR pass ticket 2 days ahead?

Avoid Golden Week and Bon Odori at ALL COST

During Golden Week. All JR Train will be Priority 1 week earlier reserved for Japanese.
This means most of Japanese will be reserved the train seat already earlier than you.
You still can travel to Nagoya in Unreserved Seat coach. 99% U will standing at Aisle from Tokyo all the way to Nagoya for sure.
Very tiring.

What is your plan at Nagoya?

My Suggestion on you was Forget about JR Rail Pass, Forget about Nagoya
Stay at Tokyo only. Avoid any City to City Transportation.

Random sharing Hidemi Sugino peekture, probably Tokyo's most achieved dessert / cake / pastry chef (past winner of Paris' Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie). His shop opens at 11am. We arrived at 10.40am already got 20+ ppl in the queue. Wait wait wait end up around 12.15pm then only managed to take our seats, dafug. Apologies for the slightly crappy angles, etc though -- his shop don't allow photographs so we have to curi curi snap ..

When you survey, most blog, etc will ask you eat soup curry. To me, soup curry is one of the most overrated food in Hokkaido, so I would definitely try everything else first and then soup curry only if got leftover makan slot.

Since my friend seems like FFK after suggested going to Japan together, I was thinking of doing it solo. Let's say my travel period is 8-15 October. I'll have 6 full travelling day. While researching, I stumbled upon My.Koya and it caught my interest. I was thinking flying into Tokyo, spend 4 days at there. Then take overnight bus to Osaka. Maybe 1 night at My.Koya and another day at nearby place then fly out from Kansai.

Rush? Achievable? Crazy? Haven't buy the flight tickets yet by the way. Or should I fly to Kansai - Tokyo? Or to spend all week in one either Osaka and surrounding area or only Tokyo???

I also might going solo, but in July. I'll be going for maybe 10D9N or 11D10N but I dont have plans for day 7 onward yet.

Is Tokyo to Osaka be really worthy? I was thinking to just stay in Tokyo and next trip will be Kansai region only.

I won't recommend you to travel two places on one trip. Not worth the price of transportation + your time + the tiredness.

Just stay in one place per trip. It more than sufficient for you. BTW, if you are going to Tokyo, don't forget to try the one star Michelin ramen

That's what I thought too. It will be damn tiring plus I will lost time during the travel unless midnight bus or train.
