Thanks but I will be flying back from Tokyo itself. So what is the idealistic plan based on my travelling dates? Appreciate the feedback as it is my first time travelling to Japan.

22-24/1 Osaka

25-27/1 Kyoto

28/1 Kobe

would it be viable to make 1-Day trips to places like Iiyama,Niigata etc from Tokyo ? or better to stay one day each and hop to every spot every other day ? unsure.gif
*
not sure what Iiyama and Niigata has to offer, but distance wise or travelling time from tokyo is almost half day. better split to one day.

Normal. No offkine maps available for Japan. Nevertheless, Do not clear your historical data & cache b4 you leave Japan. Maintained the Japan maps that you have view vecause you still can view the offline googlemaps in detail & current location without any data although you can't navigate.

Hi, would like to get some opinion on the itinerary.

Day 1 - Reach Osaka (night) - will take train to Tokyo
Day 2 - Tokyo to Hokkaido -
Day 3 - Hokkaido
Day 4 - Hokkaido - Tokyo
Day 5 - Tokyo - Kyoto
Day 6 - Kyoto
Day 7 - Kyoto - Osaka

Will it be too rush?
*
yes...tokyo to hokkaido will eat 1 day trip
so u only hv one full day at hokkaido
even u take night train ur body would be exhausted

better to concentrate on one area e.g. kanto, kansai or hokkaido

09-01-16 to 16-01-16
KL > Osaka > Takayama > Kyoto > KL

Just came back from Takayama last week
If I stayed another week I could have experience more snow
But after -8c at Shin-Hotaka, I am glad I found the sun

Anyway here's some details:

> My trip started from Kansai Airport, arrived close to 11pm and overnight at a nearby budget hotel
> Morning come and I went to Osaka station to collect the Takayama Hokuriku (TH) pass
> Then 5 hours train ride from Osaka station to Takayama station
> Basically I just want to cover Shirakawago | Shin-Hotaka | Shinzanso Onsen | Takayama | Kyoto
> Most of my train tickets even to Shirakawago has been covered by TH Pass except for the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway
> For those who want to go for Shirakawago Light Up should observed the dates and to book accommodation early
> Shinzanso Onsen was awesome, food was elaborate and the view from the rotenburo was gorgeous
> Takayama is very famous for Hida Beef, you can easily find it around Takayama town
> In addition is think they are famous for their woods and craftsmanship

I also might going solo, but in July. I'll be going for maybe 10D9N or 11D10N but I dont have plans for day 7 onward yet.

Is Tokyo to Osaka be really worthy? I was thinking to just stay in Tokyo and next trip will be Kansai region only.
*
Maybe this would enuff happily use ur 10D9N -> https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/tokyowidepass/
