Hi guys,

any advise for ski resort nearby Sapporo? prefer cheap in renting ski equipment, lift as well as with english support.

Currently checking out previous mentioned Kokusai. Anywhere else I can less time traveling n easier to access?

I stayed in Susukino, Sapporo. Do you think I can manage in time to reach CTS Airport and check in baggage in the next morning to catch my AirAsia flight back to KL at 9:20AM? Possible? Or should I stay in Airport Terminal CTS? Or any alternative as in earlier bus or any cheap budget taxi contact available? Taxi may be my last resort...

CTS so near Sapporo of course no problem lar. You can reach CTS at 7.09am. For details go check hyperdia (go to route result page and click 'interval timetable' to find out earliest train schedules).

What is "best?" Cheapest? Shortest flight time? Most comfortable?

Off hand, three options: Malaysia Airlines KK-KL-Tokyo, or Asiana KK-Seoul-Tokyo. Or AirAsia.

MAS does have direct flight from BKI to NRT, 2 flights per week.

Other options transit via Seoul, Hong Kong etc.

Yeah... That's a relief...
Before this, I was in doubt. Thanks to Japan Travel Fair in 1U. I asked some of them, they make me quite a bit of worry that I unable to reach CTS in time.

As what they claimed from the fair, they said CTS airport like Subang, limited counter and check in take a LONG time to settle. They afraid I unable to do it. Hence, the doubt came in... That's y double check here, so if really not possible that I would consider re-arrange my accomodation and stay a night in CTS area.

As per JR timetable, Sapporo to CTS earliest train is Rapid Transit at 6:00AM, taking approx. 37minutes.

That why I post very big at Page 1
Avoid Golden Week and Bon Odori at ALL COST

During Golden Week. All JR Train will be Priority 1 week earlier reserved for Japanese.
This means most of Japanese will be reserved the train seat already earlier than you.
You still can travel to Nagoya in Unreserved Seat coach.  99% U will standing at Aisle from Tokyo all the way to Nagoya for sure.
Very tiring.

What is your plan at Nagoya?

Based on my 504th Trip to Japan Experience. Tok Guru Exp.
My Suggestion on you was Forget about JR Rail Pass, Forget about Nagoya
Stay at Tokyo only. Avoid any City to City Transportation.
*
My original plan was:

26 to 29 April Tokyo
29 to 30 April - Nagoya
30 April to 1 May - Hiroshima
1 to 3 May - Osaka
3 to 5 May - Tokyo

If that is too difficult and risky, I may change to Plan B:

26 to 30 - Tokyo (Disneyland)
30 April to 3 May - Osaka
3 - 5 May - Tokyo

Whats your thoughts?

Is it possible to purchase Tokyo Osaka return Shinkansen ticket before arriving to Japan? If yes, how?

During Golden Week. Reservation seat only reserve for Japanese. 1 week earlier than any foreigners from oversea.
Your chances are only unreserved seat coach. Get ready standing from Tokyo > Osaka > Tokyo
The best of Using JR Rail Pass on Unreserved Seat Coach was you can keep on trying to boarding into the train.
Example:

08:00 Hikari Class
Too many people in Unreserved seat.
Then you can try bounce into the next
08:20 Hikari Class
too Many People again
Then 8:40
the list keep on going.
Find a coach which you think lesser people which is nearly impossible on Golden Week.......

Just pray to god got people in front of you getting down at Shizuoka Station and Nagoya Station. So you got chances to takeover the seat.
to the worst 2 and half hour standing all the way to Osaka Station.

Time to do some exercise. flex.gif

My Best Advise for you still...forget about City Hopping. Just Focus at Tokyo Only.
Your Visiting Japan timing are totally most worst. The Middle of Golden week. Most Chaos Most Expensive time.....

I was skipping Ikebukuro in my itinerary because there is nothing that catch my eyes (based on japan-guide). Then I go back to the first post and see if I missed anything. Damn..I might miss out the KitKat boutique.

Does that mean japan-guide is not updated?

Nothing special about the KitKat boutique. To me it looks like a small stall/koisk inside the department stalls.. HAHAHA
