Bought a no brand boots in Tokyo that cost 3000yen. Water proof and have spike below that helps you walk in the snow. Used in in Hokkaido, and it was fine until the snow melts and it becomes ice on the street. Was a bit slippery.

1- Need to double check, is free wifi available at Haneda Airport? If I refer here, http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/prem...ternet.html#lan it is available but does it require you to sign up? I am confused.

2- Can I bring panadol to Japan? One pack maybe.
*

Then how to sign up for the free wifi? Thanks.

Reach Haneda, turn on your phone, find Haneda wifi (you will know) and then follow the intructions on the screen. Nothing difficult

based on experience...better do it in msia
*
Do it in Malaysia. Rates here sucks and its mostly done by banks, unlike Malaysia. Normally I would bring yen back to Malaysia to exchange as you can also negotiate

So I requested late check in 9pm to an inn via booking.com as an intermediary

And the inn's response is:

"ko" (one word)

Is this the Japanese way of saying no?
*
I suggest you reconfirm but my hunch that it is a typo which I sometimes do. OK becomes KO.

Icic... Yup, I'll pin point the trains that I will take using Hyderdia... Ticking only the BULLET TRAIN when searching also helps me to find non nozomi trains easier, good to know that these non nozomi train only takes an extra 20 minutes on the tokyo to kyoto route too
*
Normally there will be seats available especially if its not peak season and especially 11AM. Normally early morning train will be book as business people normally travel at that time. However if you are travelling in 5's suggest you book early and if not you might not be able to seat in the same rows.....Also do note, 11th is a Public Holiday here and I am one of those ppl clogging the shinkansen. smile.gif

Que at the non-reserved cabin? like how? 1 long line along the aisle and the front person gets to sit first even though the empty seat is at the last row?
*
First in line means you get to go in first and pick the best seat. But since train have a lot of doors some ppl might come in the opposite direction.

I'm going to Japan for TAS this wednesday. How's the weather over there? Need glove? laugh.gif
*
TAS dont start until Friday unless you are special VIP. I will be there this weekend. As for gloves really depends. If you are inside the hall, it will be hot (cars and model gals. smile.gif) Outside will be a bit cold and do expect some wind. The temperature have got colder this week.

Yes, I really like the music box museum....I spend some money having them to custom make a few boxes for me, with my favourite songs and send it to me. One actually acme with scratches and they willingly replace it for me.

Avoid these date when travel to Japan.
2016 Japan Golden Week
25 April to 8 May
2016 Japan Bon Odori
11 August to 16 August 16

hi, i wanna ask, why have to avoid this date to travel to japan yea?
and if i wanna go tokyo and fuji, which pass should i buy yea? thanks! biggrin.gif
*
These are main holidays in Japan where everyone in Japan will travel out or balik kampung. In this long period there will be one or two days where shinkansen will fill up until no room for standing. Also everywhere you go there will be a lot of people and hotels tend to be more expensive. Hence this is the issue I face as well. I will also be on holiday and to balik Malaysia, ticket cost 2-3 times more!

It is in Otaru main tourist street. I dont think you will miss it. As for delivery, not sure if they do it overseas as it took them two weeks to arrive at my home in Tokyo

i plan to buy Canon EOS kiss x7 aka EOS 100d in malaysia
yea, i heard China the cheapest
based on kakaku.com, the price is cheaper than Malaysia but if compare to yodobashi or bic camera website, its about the same price as Malaysia
unless like others said, bic camera can get 8% tax rebate + 8% visa rebate? not sure tho  icon_question.gif
*
If you go to the shop, yes you can get the tax rebate. As for Visa I think its 5%....I cannot remember... I was there yesterday and saw the Visa rebate but cant remember the number. But its not always they have this Visa discount. Tax free they sure have.
