That one is called the fiber socket, not outdoor termination box/demarc unit.

Previously TM install both of them and they come with standard installation now no more.
Cost cutting move.

We are getting less and less value nowadays.

Thanks for pointing out.

I am new to this. Not yet finished reading and learning which is among the better ones.
The Unifi IPTV box has Google playstore, but the installer told me cannot be used yet.

However, seems like there's a thread on this https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3594298 which seems actually can be used.

this kind of installation is ok for me as direct to the modem(only 1 fiber cable from wall socket to modem) compare the previous method (need 2 times of connection where outside to wall socket and wall socket to modem)

and cost saving for them also...

to all sifus or otais...

if want the new device on current account, sure cannot get, so the only way is register another account.

if i register another account, they will pull a new fiber cable or just using same cable and add another account on the modem???

then after new one coming and using same modem(lan 1 and lan 2), to terminate the old one didnt give any effect??

basically just want new hypptv stb only for free....

Yeah the free standard install.  Nothing outside because mine is a condo.

He did mentioned that he didnt bring the new one. But he said the new one will slower wifi.connection when doors closed in other rooms.

You can (If you want) fill out a complain and try to get a better modem. But if you really want it icon_rolleyes.gif

1) Usually they use the same cable
2) I'm really sorry but your question is a bit unclear but I'll try to answer it as much as I can understand after you have gotten the new line installed, you can walk into any TM Point and terminate your old line and yes there won't be any downtime

finally after month of reports they bring the fibre cable straight to the pole infront of my house. they said they will put a Tie DP with 4 ports there. rclxm9.gif . mungkin kerana repot yang berkenaan rich guy wanna subcribe vs more potential customers wanna to subscribe. i dont know. since the area with the infra are not more than 200m tm willing bringing it to my kampung. so jiran jiran can also subscribe unifi too rclxms.gif they ask me to put atleast 3 address near to my house to make sure the occ locater will manage to display the address of my area and also have other potential subscriber.

im just move in to rawang about 5 months ago. is rawang area got unifi coverage? because when i want to move in, i went to tm centre rawang, plan to sign up for streamyx, and they said no port available at this moment (port full). and they told me to wait. at that time no coverage for unifi as well/

and now just want to ask whether unifi is already available in my location or not?
someone? anyone? its ok for me to live a life without tv but not the internet. here is my adress, TAMAN JATI, 48000 RAWANG.

Checking with TM would be better option as their system are most up to date.

searched via self-help coverage, no Taman Jati seen in Rawang area.

You can try yourself Unifi Coverage, for confirmation got to call TM. Some places might be in the list but line is not yet available to sub.

mean the new account will be using current fiber cable? (No new cable been pull in or using new port?)

just wondering if they using same cable, then terminating the old one, they just off the system only and they didnt ask back the modem due to have another account attached to that modem???

hope you can understand my question...

I think the means just that, you get the rm20 voice pack for free = 0 per month. Ppl who didn't get free voice pack and wants to use voice pack must pay rm20.. hence the add rm20.

Not 100% sure, so best you just call 100 , sambung to account and ask but i think thats what it means.

Perhaps it mean the antenna less router that has no antenna stick on the router body, but its build-in inside the body / circuit board of the router.

That's why I can't stop laughing. No external antenna doesn't mean no antenna.

If people can't tell the difference between a full-sized sim card and mini sim card, I don't expect them to know this one either.

I just signed up to upgrade from VIP 5 to UniFi Advanced 30Mbps.

The website and the brochure mentioned the promotional monthly fee is RM179 and the re-seller also told me only pay RM179 (+GST) for a month but when I received the latest bill it charged me RM179+GST and extra RM30+GST for HyppTV Aneka package!!!

(And some call charges, but it OK since I didn't make calls often)

This is totally shock to me!!!

How to settle this problem?
