Just checking Unifi coverage in Kedah, somehow my area in Alor Setar is now under coverage. Does this mean I can already sub it? Tried ordering online but greeted with old package instead of 30/50Mbps.

QUOTE(neooren @ Nov 13 2015, 12:49 PM) I think you went to the old 'check coverage' page: https://occ.unifi.my/HSBBCustomerPortal/HSB...e_checkcoveragebecause i did the same mistake last time, should use the new one https://tm.com.my/#/exploreyeah, tried the new one, but it wont continue. sooo, no unifi or website problem? QUOTE(MyPIA @ Nov 13 2015, 01:56 PM) Should be supported, new packages and old packages use same technology so don't worry it is supported Does it need new wiring for fibre? Or use old copper wire instead?

QUOTE(jusbella @ Nov 13 2015, 02:27 PM) Forget ad, first 10meter / 15 meter is free, den the rest will be charged. But I think u can bargain the price, forumer here said can bargain less than RM100 Normally is RM200. alright. thanks for the info. btw, how do we know which tm point/station our house is connected to? I remember last time from a tm guy, point with code F = Unifi-ready, V = upto 4Mbps, R = less than 2Mbps. I didn't see any F points around my area. Is it underground cabling?

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Nov 15 2015, 03:39 PM) Went to change rm199 30mbps to rm179. They want to renew my contract. Side note, unifi coverage in alor setar. Very limited [attachmentid=5306836] Max package 50Mbps in AS? Went TMpoint AS to ask for unifi, they said my area is not under coverage yet. Just yesterday TM technician came to deploy the unifi distribution box (i think it is) to the electric pole in front of my house. Hope will get Unifi soon. 1Mbps is killing me

You can try yourself Unifi Coverage, for confirmation got to call TM. Some places might be in the list but line is not yet available to sub.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Nov 25 2015, 10:55 AM) Normally, installer may call prior before hand. But there were cases installer just pop up on the pre-set day. You can always call the installer for confirmation. QUOTE(ycs @ Nov 25 2015, 11:07 AM) installer phoned on the morning itself and come within the hour Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll just wait and see. Cant wait to test Unifi

Aztech HL113EP is 200Mbps. Will it be sufficient for 30Mbps line? I saw another homeplug with 1200Mbps, but twice the price. Any benefit in term of speed / latency?
