QUOTE(Jellyjian @ Feb 1 2016, 10:57 PM) Hmm...but the procedures will be troublesome right? I am currently nt bound by the contract period already. How do you make a new account? Any penalties in terminating the current account? No penalty of cancelling if you are no longer on contract but there is a risk that your port may be grabbed by others. So register a new account and after it is activated only terminate the old one. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 1 2016, 09:26 PM) Ya, a blanket cleanup as I don't think they manually check as there are tens of thousands of subscribers. Rather they run a script that loops through each customer and check if they have free voice, then remove it. |

QUOTE(LovelyPotato @ Feb 1 2016, 09:43 PM) I got my 10mbps upload from my 30mbps package and I still got Residential Voice from my OCC. How did you check out on your removal? You will definitely see the Residential Voice in your OCC. That is because the service is provided to you. What is actually removed is the Voice STD 20 (Free) package. |

What I know is, if BTU (Fiber or VDSL2 modem) faulty, then you get it replaced for free (lifetime warranty). But make sure they waive the RM500 charge in your bill. I noticed my unbilled charge have that, I am unsure if they waive it later, so I tweeted TMConnects and the waive it after 2 weeks.
As for router, phone & IPTV STB, once warranty is over, if any of the equipment faulty, you can get them to replace for you, and you have 2 choices: 1) Pay for it. 2) Get it replaced free, but with 2 years contract renewed. As for those who renewed contract due to service upgrade, the 1-year warranty on old equipment is refreshed, so you get to get free replacement ONLY if it is faulty. Yes, because they announce/publish it everywhere that these Advance packages don't come with free unlimited landline calls. QUOTE(Jellyjian @ Feb 1 2016, 11:00 PM) Actually their router is no good, so it is better you buy a new one yourself. The wireless signal really sucks, so I just add another router to become access point and transmit my WiFi signal. At least it is quite wide now, unlike last time on stock router, cannot reach kitchen. |

I now wonder, those who did NOT request for the RM20 discount but have Free Voice STD available to them, do they still have the free voice??Maybe I need check with my cousin, I remember I told him to request for the discount but he didn't because he wants the free calls. |

Err, I mean those who did NOT request for the RM20 discount like many of us did after complaining to MCMC & then went to TMpoint to fill up the form. And yes, it is removed now. These subscribers are supposed to have the free voice. We were told that getting the RM20 discount means forfeiting the free calls. |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Feb 1 2016, 11:14 PM) if the AP is connected by lan cable it should be good Mine is pure WiFi. but if those AP were repeater....damn those sometimes got intermittent disconnection 1 QUOTE(jolmy @ Feb 1 2016, 11:17 PM) Err, I mean those who did NOT request for the RM20 discount like many of us did after complaining to MCMC & then went to TMpoint to fill up the form. Err... Actually when I upgraded (before RM 20 discount), my free calls were removed. After I complained and got my RM 20 discount, the next day this thing already appeared on my package but I didn't know it was free calls until Dec. Hmm, your case is rather special My wild guess, they supposed to remove your free calls to get RM20 discount, but because yours were removed earlier, the accidentally added in instead |
