QUOTE(OKLY @ Jan 27 2016, 02:21 PM) Hmmm???? Not sure hows the price range for a Mid range modem+router, perhaps you could start with a few recommendations? QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jan 27 2016, 02:22 PM) The stock router is fine if you are just a light user but it is terrible if you have a lot of users. Hey there, you got an awesome site =)The RT-AC55UHP is great. Wireless AC, perfect Unifi compatibility and good firmware. The only bad thing about it is the price. Not sure how to determine a lot of users, but normally there will be 3 to 6 users depending on situation. I consider that as many already Wow thats a whooping RT-AC55UHP - RM569 from the Asus RRP... Anyone else here is using this and so far so good? This post has been edited by jason18689: Jan 28 2016, 08:44 AM |

Hi all, I just subscribed to the unifi advance 30mbps package.
However when I conduct a speedtest with the LAN cable attached, the speed only averages around 24mbps with the stock router. Is this normal? |

QUOTE(Shinka @ Jan 28 2016, 10:00 AM) Hi all, I just subscribed to the unifi advance 30mbps package. If you are stressing too much load by having too many device connected regardless of using the bandwidth or not, then this speed is pretty normalHowever when I conduct a speedtest with the LAN cable attached, the speed only averages around 24mbps with the stock router. Is this normal? |

QUOTE(lolokzarecool @ Jan 27 2016, 01:52 PM) Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask but.. You can log case via OCC and insist for on site troubleshooting.I have been using unifi for a long time ever since it first came out and my current BTU is the really old huawei unit looks like this (example pic, im not using that orange terrible router) .I have been experiencing high ping/latency/disconnections recently.. Is it viable if i call unifi to replace the unit for me? Or will they just shove me away and say its still working so they wont replace? also FYI for router im using my own with openWRT and tested at friends place no problem so its not router fault.. Any input would help me a lot .. Thanks Usually the TM tech will bring a new set of BTU when arriving your home. For my case, the root cause was adapter faulty, but they still replace the whole BTU set for me FOC anyway... |

QUOTE(Aordinarypeople @ Jan 28 2016, 11:45 AM) You just search in this topic "router" and you will see a lot of reommendation. Mine is different case as the current stock TM router is sufficient for my 30Mbps and I am just using an Access Point which is different. |
