Yeah, pleasantly surprised as well because I only reported late last night.
Well, with this kind of reply, it makes no difference.

So guys, just do your part and report to SKMM. Force TM to give blanket discount to all early adopters. I have a feeling there are many more early adopters out there who don't know about this...
*
maybe not too many, and most are here
that's y tm came out with this "early bird" promo now

hmm.gif now even entry package is RM179 for new applicants
i wonder how to pressure TM to come out with lower price package for unifi

since that's the promise our minister got from all telcos - to lower broadband price some months ago

Back in the day,  I was same as you. This thread got so much negativity towards tm UniFi. After reading 20 pages of this thread, I also post something like yours.  I'm former 4 Mbps streamyx user. The thing is, there are so many people Lodge here just to complain and finding people who have the same problem as them with hoping that can solve it together. Very few people post something as they're satisfied with their broadband. My advice (as being advice to me back then), higher speed is always better. Now I'm using  30 Mbps and very happy with it.
*
Yeah.l something like onces you go 30mbps, you can never go back. laugh.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 18 2015, 12:03 PM)
Nah. I was travelling and only came back yesterday. laugh.gif

Well, expensive or not I can't judge because I'm the type of person who is willing to pay to have an enjoyable experience. The problem is the Internet in Malaysia is monopolized by TM and I don't have better option for now, so rather thinking how to justify it might as well subscribe and use it. If I think I can afford it, I will go for it. I'm using this 30 Mbps by myself only, not sharing with anyone. Usually from Mondays to Thursdays as I will go back to hometown on Fridays after work and only come back on Mondays. Still, I went for it. biggrin.gif
*
But still, do you download a lot, torrent or just normal surfing and fb? Because if its just surfing and fb, Im pretty sure a 5mbps will already be sufficient. Even watching youtube on hd would be adequate on 5mbps. But then again, its your money. Cant dictate how you use it. tongue.gif

the ultimate truth is you are still going to suffer no matter which you choose.

Its all about worthy or not. To me, definitely a yes.

+1
I also always fell short changed by tm by their frequent disconnections and technical issues. Whem I call 100, I will always ask if they deduct the days I gad connection problems because its their fault. mad.gif

RM 179 is much better than RM 199.

Nope, I used to download a lot when I was on VIP 5. Then I upgraded to VIP 10 and stopped downloading, only streamed. Now on 30Mbps also continue streaming. smile.gif
I didn't feel that smooth when I was streaming HD videos though when on VIP 5.

Now everything just works so well. smile.gif

Hello guys! New subs here! Just a quick question, wonder anyone have tested their Unifi side by side with streamyx (before termination done)?

I'm currently having this weird issue where (on the same router, ASUS RT-N66U) I use the same exact device (dekstop, laptop & phone) to do speed test with my streamyx line I got full speed (on all my device), but when I switch over the Unifi line my dekstop & laptop only get 50-60% of what my VIP10 suppose to give but here's the weird thing kicks. Because my phone is shows perfect speed from the Unifi line.

I can't convinced myself that it's my network equipment & laptop issue tho as they are doing fine with streamyx line.

Unifi speed test with Hyptv turn off and only one connection at a time. But I just cant get full speed on my dekstop & laptop. Does anyone here have faced such issue before? hmm.gif

Well just put it as we have an insatiable appetite for speed and advancement. Lets see how long 30mbps can satisfy you before you need to upgrade again. laugh.gif

Yes, it is already a compromise for me. I used to use 60Mbps Maxis LTE as my main broadband until Maxis discontinued the unlimited quota package, I downgraded to 5Mbps which was a huge sacrifice from my side. Then, I upgraded to VIP 10 and now 30Mbps after the sales persons called and offered me.

Yes, this 30Mbps wouldn't stop here. I'm a sucker for faster speed. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Zi-Tech @ Oct 18 2015, 12:45 PM)
My complaint to skmm

Huraian Masalah/Problem:

Hope can get diskaun...

Just report to SKMM. Based on few of the early adopters' feedback, they got called by TM and fixed an appointment to get RM 20 discount which they did. biggrin.gif

Fingers crossed for the rest of us.

Hi guys. VIP5 user here. Got a question to ask.

Im a PC user and I use Ethernet cable to connect for internet. BUT everytime when my bro or sis start using their apple products (basically macbooks and ipads), my ping just becomes crazily unusable. Lowest ping I can get is around 100-200 but usually can spike up to 1k ping. DL speed can drop below 1mbps.

Its so frustrating that when they just touch their macbooks and ipads, my ping suffer whereas when they use non-apple products its perfectly fine.

Any ideas why this happen and any suggestion to fix this problem? Apart from upgrading of course because gov thinks we grow money on trees and can afford expensive but slow internet.

Hi all. Quick question; does the new Unifi 50mbps supports users in high rise buildings? Last time I was informed that it does not.
