Thanks for the advice! I'm just wondering on what basis Maybank don't allow us to pay our own credit card? Save us the hassle of transferring money anyway
*
Is your payment a single payment that straight away exceeds your credit limit?
If otherwise, you can really consider pay the outstanding through M2U as and when it appears in your outstanding balance. Then use it for the rest of the payments, provided you have easy access to internet and available cash, that is.

I know that requesting temporary credit limit increase would require you for strong justification, but there is no harm trying.

We can pay to our own credit card but we cannot overpay it, the system will not allow us to overpay it.

Three choices to overpay:
I) CDM to own credit card account
II) Use other people's Maybank account to pay to your credit card
III) IBG from other bank's account to pay to your credit card
*
(II) wouldn't work

Recently i had used Touch n' Go Zing Card and it has been top up two times since my first use (19th FEB 2016). However, my credit card did not receive this topup statement... i had asked MBB and i get this:
-----------------------------------------------------------
We wish to inform, for first autoreload transaction, the charges remains for RM102 and the both autoreload charges will be reflect to your next coming statment.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Just want to ask, anyone experienced this late coming statement? At the beginning i thought the auto reload bills coming most late 1 week..

yes. in fact, after it's cancelled from the system, you might still need to call them up to remove it from showing in maybank2u.

ah I just tried other people M2u to pay my cc. So it is still possible to free up my credit limit by paying part of the outstanding balance?

Example:
credit limit 5k, swipe 3k, left 2k limit
now wanna purchase another thing which cost 4k, so can pay outstanding balance 2k through M2u to be able to swipe for 4k?

So does it work or not, using someone else's maybank account?

Then the other question is, if CC is in my own name, can my wife (holds joint account with me, but on savings not on this CC) pay?

Never tried this before as not needed the CL, but asking for possible future use.

yup, i just tried in jan this yr
trying to overpay my mum's M2 master with my M2U, cannot go through as well
logically, maybank2u will know whether any payment from within mbb itself will overpay the credit card or not

overpay using any account through maybank2u (yours or third party) will not work, have to use IBG or instant transfer from other banks.
paying outstanding balance using any account (no matter who) from any bank will work

above is not overpaying yet, so no problem whatsoever

From Maybank website

Starting March 2016, in phases, all Maybank Cards will be replaced with PIN-enabled Cards. For Maybank Credit and Charge Cards, card replacement will be done in phases from 1 April 2016 onwards.

PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a 6-digit password of your choice that will be used for your Maybank Card transactions and retail purchases at PIN-enabled terminals.
