QUOTE(K2002 @ Sep 21 2015, 03:33 PM) only downhill as if gear is pulling the woo sound I have. other than that no sound. the juddering effect is like if I imagine it right enough. is as if the belt is not able to be turn or miss turn at the cvt axle. not sure if this is the case. car feel no pick up the moment it judders rpm drop and a very big vibration for the whole car. not at the dashboard. dashboard will vibrate from 0~80 if I full pedal to the floor motion. but the judder effect will come after the full pedal say when reaching 4k~5krpm. Ok. One more thing. When you wrote earlier "I wonder if I still can change the gear box. more than 3 years now. If not I think I need to fork out rm12K here for the gear box." They will only change the gearbox for you when they detected a damage to the gearbox. Not sure about the juddering you are experiencing right now is due to the gearbox or not. You can send you car in for them to check on the juddering/vibration that you are currently experiencing now. If your gearbox is not faulty, they won't change it.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Sep 20 2015, 05:49 PM) Around 1k. You can get from any Racechip retailers. Any dyno result before and after you install the race chip? Not sure how it retard the ECU, but doesn't the racechip need to be tuned for preve?

U can check Racechip Msia website for the dyno results. And yes the Racechip One is tuned for proton CFE engines only. For other cars, they have other models. Used to be known as the Racechip S, recently just released the current new version.

Preve ecu locked right? I don't think there is 3rd party ecu mapping for preve right now. I'm driving preve manual, so basically racechip is useless for me right now as the racechip was tuned for CFE model only.

All the circuits and wiring are well insulated and hidden behind the door panel, no amount of rain water can damage them, unless fully submerged

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Sep 21 2015, 08:32 AM) An update. After the gearbox on my car was replaced and 5 visits to the service centre to troubleshoot all sort of noises, including changing of all engine and gearbox mountings, I now have this "woo wooo" sound during low speed acceleration from standstill, slowing down the car at low speed to 0 km/h. The sound will come up during low speed driving, and it is loud and annoying. I have no choice but to bring the car to the service centre again. The unpleasant woo wooo noise sounds like the engine is going to be dead or something. Also, there is vibration on the dashboard and gearbox area. The condition of the car with the new gearbox is now much worse than the condition of the car before the gearbox was replaced. Just bad luck for me. Bro, I had this woo woo sound during low speed driving especially when decelerating from 50kmh. When the speedometer reaches approx. 40kmh the sound stops but starts again below 20kmh albeit a lil more quieter. No woo woo sound can be heard when my car is stationary though. The sound was there since I bought my car on Feb 2013 but it's a 2012 model. Initially it was louder but after ECU/TCU remap, it seems to be quieter. It can still be quite annoying at times. You're going back to the SC? Hope it is possible to eliminate this woo woo sound for good.

Asking a question:
HID conversion will attract JPJ, what about LED conversion?

Mine only comes up at low speed, starting from around 30km/h either accelerating from 0 to 30 km/h, or decelerating from 30 km/h to 0 km/h. No woo woo sound when above 30 km/h. The car was sent to the service centre for the 6th time earlier this week. Apparently some parts of the Turbo engine were found to be defective and they have to order the parts. Will need to wait for the parts to arrive before I send the car to the service centre for the 7th time for the part replacement. Will need to leave the car there again for 2 days.

Hello everyone,
Can someone kindly provide me with a review for the Preve 1.6 MT Exec? I have read a review from AF but it didn't touch much on the NVH, and daily use performance for the IAFM MT version.
Sidenote and Questions: 1) I don't drive fast. Max speed is 110 or 120 when overtaking. 2) Test drove the Iriz, didn't like it, heard rattling in 3 test cars. Any bad rattling issues with the Preve? 3) Test drove the Preve Turbo and it was awesome. 4) Can anyone highlight problems that I might face or common problems with the MT IAFM variant? 5) My parents drive a MT 2008 Persona, so I'm quite used to the power of the Persona. Is it similar to that? Or is it worse since the Preve is heavier? Is there any test drive unit. So far Senawang SC and CoE don't have it. 6) Planning to book before 15th Oct for the 30 year promo. I'm offered estimated 8k disc (5k + 2.1k for old iswara + 900 for 55% NCD) and the 7 year warranty 7) What is the service interval for the IAFM? 8) Lastly, any good SA's around here? Dua kali go proton x kena layan, such bad service. So ended up doing my own research T.T
Thanks a bunch and sorry for all the questions =)

Did anyone encounter this with your car? When I was parking my car this afternoon, switching from D to R, this time it is not the plastic silver piece that comes off but the whole gear knob that came off. First time I experience this sort of quality issue which is a laughing stock. When the gear knob came off, I put it back in but could not change the gears due to misalignment. I then pulled the gear knob back out and stuck it back in again and luckily can shift the gear knob as normal after that. This is just terrible. I did not expect this to happen although I am aware that the gear knob on this Proton Preve Turbo is poor in quality.

For those whos looking for a faster and cheaper promotion for proton, should head down to Taman mayang in Petaling jaya... Btw, guys, anyone encounter such problem and manage to solved it by ownself, problem that i am facing now, was the damn power window, in which supposed to auto shut when u pull up the window trigger button, but it is not fully winded up, and infact, in order for you to make it shut, u actually have to like pull up the trigger a few times just so it is properly shut...I know that this is due to the sensitivity of the power window as to it has the anti trap fuction..to be honest, i think i actaully did manage to main tikam and fixed it before, but...somehow or rather, i have tried every posible ways but still...it's getting freaking annoying... with the current haze...gosh! Any idea on this matter? I did a few searched on lyn forums but...it was somehow or rather discontinued and i couldn't find the answer for it, any bros (or sis) are willing to share how you guys solve it...(if you encounter such case, i believe you will be as a annoyed as me)...so please care to share the help if possbile... thanks all.
