Can someone kindly provide me with a review for the Preve 1.6 MT Exec? I have read a review from AF but it didn't touch much on the NVH, and daily use performance for the IAFM MT version.

Sidenote and Questions:
1) I don't drive fast. Max speed is 110 or 120 when overtaking.
2) Test drove the Iriz, didn't like it, heard rattling in 3 test cars. Any bad rattling issues with the Preve?
3) Test drove the Preve Turbo and it was awesome.
4) Can anyone highlight problems that I might face or common problems with the MT IAFM variant?
5) My parents drive a MT 2008 Persona, so I'm quite used to the power of the Persona. Is it similar to that? Or is it worse since the Preve is heavier? Is there any test drive unit. So far Senawang SC and CoE don't have it.
6) Planning to book before 15th Oct for the 30 year promo. I'm offered estimated 8k disc (5k + 2.1k for old iswara + 900 for 55% NCD) and the 7 year warranty
7) What is the service interval for the IAFM?
8) Lastly, any good SA's around here? Dua kali go proton x kena layan, such bad service. So ended up doing my own research T.T

wow I think you are the first owner have this kind of problem. usually is just the plastic cover. yours is the whole thing. are you pulling the gear lever or pushing up and down?

Just claim a new set engine mounting, vibration almost gone.feel good.
Anyone do underbody coating to prevent rust? My exhaust is rusted and crack a little, just replace the particular part. Would like to do something to prevent it happen again.

if you press the accelerator to the floor most of the time. the car vibration will come back less than 6 months. at most will stop the mini vibrate within 1 year.

I did undercarriage coating. Exhaust cannot be coated using the same coating, but ceramic coating (which is costly). If exhaust cracked, just weld it back or simply replace the section.

1) Tested yesterday (Result might different from different person), iriz 1.3 having the same pickup speed as preve 1.6 MT (Heavy preve!, unless im bad in shifting compared to that Iriz driver). But overall for normal leisure drive = superb

4) As for mine, refer (2) and power window control slightly poke-out(seems normal for preve driver)
5) Please refer (1)... As far as i know, proton within selangor area doesn't provide MT test drive unit.
6) There might* be old model discount during December/January (which would be around 8k, but still it depends on stock availability). Can your insurance bring forward to your new car? Else 1.6k (if i not mistaken) would be your 1st sum for insurance.
7) 1k,10k,20k. personally i went for 5k interval.

For those whos looking for a faster and cheaper promotion for proton, should head down to Taman mayang in Petaling jaya... Btw, guys, anyone encounter such problem and manage to solved it by ownself, problem that i am facing now, was the damn power window, in which supposed to auto shut when u pull up the window trigger button, but it is not fully winded up, and infact, in order for you to make it shut, u actually have to like pull up the trigger a few times just so it is properly shut...I know that this is due to the sensitivity of the power window as to it has the anti trap fuction..to be honest, i think i actaully did manage to main tikam and fixed it before, but...somehow or rather, i have tried every posible ways but still...it's getting freaking annoying... with the current haze...gosh! Any idea on this matter? I did a few searched on lyn forums but...it was somehow or rather discontinued and i couldn't find the answer for it, any bros (or sis) are willing to share how you guys solve it...(if you encounter such case, i believe you will be as a annoyed as me)...so please care to share the help if possbile... thanks all.

Did anyone encounter this with your car? When I was parking my car this afternoon, switching from D to R, this time it is not the plastic silver piece that comes off but the whole gear knob that came off. First time I experience this sort of quality issue which is a laughing stock. When the gear knob came off, I put it back in but could not change the gears due to misalignment. I then pulled the gear knob back out and stuck it back in again and luckily can shift the gear knob as normal after that.

This is just terrible. I did not expect this to happen although I am aware that the gear knob on this Proton Preve Turbo is poor in quality.

one simple method to wind up the window if you face the issue of power window that trigger anti trap.

the button to wind up the window, there are 2 stage.. 1st stage, pull lighter will manual pull up.. 2nd stage, pull up all the way, will trigger window auto wind up until it stop (but this will trigger anti trap if something blocking)..

so your case will be pull 2nd stage, even there is nothing, but trigger anti trap.. so to counter it, just pull lightly with 1st stage.. i faced once before after i got my car.. but until now no more..

I was about to make the exact reply yesterday.
I also discovered there are two stages of power windows pull switch after I have such anti-trap problem.

Just done my booking. Fire Red 1.6MT. RHB is giving me 2.88% interest. Is that good enough? I hope my loan passes 

One other question. When I tested the Premium, I noticed that the interior light has dimmer and when you unlock the car the led lights turn on. Is this the same with Exec. Looks so cool.

NO problem. Hope you will have the problem sorted out at the service centre. For abnormal loud rattling sound or vibration, I would think they would be able to resolve it for you, and they are obliged to do so. As for minor rattling sound that would be debatable and difficult, though you can still try. Sometimes some minor rattling sound may eventually disappear by itself without any effort or troubleshooting. It depends a bit on luck sometimes.
