Preve CFE it is then.
Well, to be safe then, might as well ask the SA to install it. Since the showroom also has a service centre, will go back to them for service and such.

The reverse camera will be auto right? As in when I engage reverse, then it will automatically show the camera. Would suck if it is the kind where you need to switch it on the player to see whats behind.

Thanks mushy.

Yes, automatically shown when you engage reverse gear.

Depends on model, but all I've seen so far are automatic type.

Does anyone know if the Preve Turbo shares the same pipe as this one in the Suprima? Any idea what is this pipe?

What else is covered for this rm120 service? For my sc they are charging rm300 which includes adding gas and washing the coils..sounds a little expensive

based on the squarish silver thing it is a water coolant hose for oil temprature. but based on the leaking it is lubrication leaks and i dont think it came from that hose must be from some where else..
if i could recal,l one of our preveian have the same kind of oil leaks problem..

Since suprima engine same as exora bold and preve cfe yes it share the same thing....

Okay thanks for the information. Was told there was oil leak but not sure where does it come from. Not good if it's the same as the Preve Turbo. If that's the case the Preve will have potential to leak as well.

The car is a Proton Suprima, not Preve. It is a company car, not my car. The photo was taken by the mechanic at the Proton Kuantan branch. One of my colleague drove the car and it broke down on the highway with smoke coming out from the front bonnet.

oh ok. By right suprima and preve engine, 90% at least smile.gif 1 of the cause would be reving very high speed for prolonged time, maybe 1-2hrs 150-160km/h and above. I am not sure whether new oil cooler tube would do or not, but hopefully proton can solve the problem.

That is one possible reason. My colleague is a slow driver though as his driving speeds rarely go above 130km/h. Maybe some of the drivers before him had abused the car before.

Some photos of the car (without the smoke) :-

talking about engine leaking, today i dismantle my throttle body to be cleaned by myself since lately every morning i have to crank the engine twice only it will start. First crank it will begin with low rpm and dies off only on the second attempt then only it stay.
While dismantling the head plastic cover i found out that the rocker/valve cover gasket are leaking as in the pic attached.
And if i am not mistaken there is also some leaks on the engine head
What worrying me is even i didnt notice any loss of lubricant, the leaks could cause the timing belt slipping on the long run and i just gone through major service including of timing belt change couple of months ago.
BTW my cfe is 2012 model with 86K+ millage with regular (moderate speeding) driving mode.

Now i let my engine cover off to monitor the leak...

this is on valve/rocker cover (sorry the pic is upside down)

Attached Image
that is some peek under the turbo shield (engine head)

its my throttle body cleaned without proper cleaner....heeee

Did my service yesterday using syntium 5000 instead of 3000 that I was using all this while. Upon reaching my house, the check engine light came on. Initially I thought the oil wasnt suitable as i was using 3000 all along. Went back to sc today and found it it was actually a defective brake switch. Got it rectified and replaced within 10mins.

You are quite hands-on to do all this cleaning all by yourself.
