Mine fused 2-3 times. According to the Proton guy who replaced the light bulb, it is due to the use of the "Auto-light" feature that caused the bulb to fail. He advised not to put the lights on Auto mode if you want to preserve the bulb.

I changed the light bulb at the Proton service centre. When the bulb failed within 6 months, replacement of the new light bulb is free of charge. It is stated in the invoice in that the warranty for the light bulb is 6 months from installation.

bendix will eat ur brake disc, i tried at my old persona.
I going to change mine too in coming few month, will go for rapid stop.
It won't void warranty, but if you use pad that damage ur brake disk, you can't claim form SC of coz.

The ramcar is 300+.

50D23L is the same physical size, but lesser CCA than the original 53D23L.

Hi ben, you mean noisy driver seat can claim warranty? Mine is noisy since I collected the car. From other owners, I was told this is something that cannot be fixed. Please kindly enlighten. Thanks

No need to change from Inspira to Preve.

Not all Preve are rattle free also.

Some people seem to have this issue of cooling. I never held mine at high speed for too long, maximum also 190km/h for 1-2KM stretch, so I never got this overheating. Should you try to ensure that your radiator and transmission cooler are all clean and not blocked by road debris? Lol.

This problem is common among CVT cars, not just Preve, especially if you're using Mitsubishi Lancer. The same goes for Inspira, but Proton has already improved the Inspira's CVT cooling system.

Low battery sign could be false positive. Reduced CCA could have raised it more easily but since the battery is new, you should able to use it.

The shop probably won't be able to change for you without charging you.

Could it have been hard to start due to other issue such as dirty throttle body?

Wow, good that they manage to find the problem.

So far I have seen many of the gearbox failed due to the pulley being damaged. Last time I used to think that the clutch would give up first but apparently not.

there was a very very distinctive load whining noise at low rev <1500-2000 RPM

Took it to the local SC here and within 30 second,they just straight up tell me the gearbox is kaput

It is still drive able but i wouldn't place my life on it

I just happened to log in n saw these comments..so I thought I share my experience with my 2012 first batch preve...few months after buying my engine cylinder head cracked while driving n towed to proton and they replaced the engine...took about 1 month plus replacement car given...

everything went fine and after tht the car would jerk when I drive slow and feel like the gear slipping..went twice and they retune or reflash the ecu and it was ok but after sometime it felt the same.. learned to live with it..

then one day the aircon was not cold went and checked everything connected to aircon was fine but air not cold..it spent 3 weeks in workshop trying to pin point the source and apparently some wiring problem..

my driver seat is worn out in 3 years and emit some sort of "creaking" sound everytime I sat on it or moved while sitting..morning when I start and drive there are lot of vibration in the dashboard....

the engine sounds so rough inspite always using full synthetic oil..the absorbers has already worn out and due for replacement...as for the vibrations I am sure the engine mountings has to be replaced..

the engine will die off while I reverse on uphill..sometimes as I slow down for touch n go and when I press accelerator there will be a violent jerks which I feel on my floorboard before the car actually moves on....

the cvt fail indicator and airbag indicators will sometimes light up and I need to go proton to reset..twice already..

the gearbox feels much better after my major service in 60,000km and they charged me RM1500 for the service and I noticed they changed lot of gearbox parts....

honestly I feel frustrated and disappointed with this preve as so much of my time wasted in proton workshops..i really don't take this car outstation as always one after another problem crops up..
