yo guise, wanna ask. my preve righthand frontlamp blew once in two month, is it normal?

now both my front lamp gone..had to rely on foglight during low light driving before change bulb.

since both my frontlamp gone..any suggestion on bulb that can last long? was thinking for led lamp ... or go for hid ? (this is the name right?)

If you go for HID, warranty will void and you will have problems with JPJ.

Have Proton called you for wire harness change? It's free as Proton has issued a recall for that. It should help as my bulbs no longer die in short period, so far.

Did you buy your light bulb from Proton? If yes, it will be replaced free-of-charge if the new light bulb blew in less than 6 months. Proton provide a 6-month warranty for the light bulbs which is mentioned in the sales invoice. The lights on my car blew twice. The first time they blew, I replaced them at the Proton service centre. They then blew again in less than 6-months, and I got them replaced free-of-charge.

Whether it is normal for the front light bulb to blow in 2 months, it is certainly not normal, but for the Proton Preve, under some circumstances it can happen. I was told by the Proton guy who changed the light bulb to not leave the lights in Auto mode (the setting at the most bottom of the left stalk) as the light bulbs tend to blow more easily if it is left in Automatic.

Mine blown once, few months after owning the car.

Firstly I sent to the SC and I found that they don't even know how to install it properly. It lit, but focused wrongly. Looking at how some SC technicians are inexperienced in handling and installing bulb, I bought the bulbs and installed myself. Tough to reach it, especially for first experience, but I manage to. More than 1 year, no more burnt bulbs.

1. Must not contaminate bulb with fingers
2. The bulb must be placed in specific position as indicated inside the headlamp, not just chuck straight inside.

Nice..where did you orders yours? This does not void any of the warranty right?
I assume this includes the door trimming as well.

hey Jason, as promised. I finally got time to go and get it done. I didnt opt for door trimmings as I rather not have people opening the door panels (worried about rattling sound afterwards).
Here are some photos of the results. They picked white thread for me, but it looked nice. Not too stand out.
Am I satisfied? Well look-wise its amazing! So far it's nice to sit on, but I'll reserve that after trying parking the car under our malaysian hot sun

Those seats look neat! 800 only, seriously? The seats even have Proton logo, unsuspecting passenger would think they come as factory stock

so happy that some of you think they are nice (coz I heartache spent the money, I not rich)
the logo is optional. But I said I wanted them. These seat covers are custom ordered, thats why can pilih pilih haha

It's a shame the CFE doesn't come with leather as stock. Even the trusty old Waja came with the option of leather seats.

Probably your brake switch has a problem. The gear lock needs to sense the brakes being pressed to release.
I never triggered ESC light by ESC itself. If you do, you're violently throwing the car.

I seen the ESC light due to traction control, easily triggered at wet car parks.

Those who report bulbs needed change frequently do you guys drive long hours at night?
Our car average most half hour nightly n bulbs remain good after 2 years of use. My wife ex Persona even after 5 years was still good n car now being used by our son
