My balls data are in... this mth sikit early wor...

Before I talk about Algozen™ recommendation, let me just say a few observation.

I) The risk-return of equities generally has gone done. Meaning, the equities are getting more risky. The days of easy buffet lunch is getting less. You want more gain, you need to take more risk. Simple as that....

II) Equities across different geographical zones are converging, the correlation-coefficients are increasing. This means that it is not easy to get good diversification.

Now, onwards to the recommendation:

Titanic is still floating, iceberg is nowhere in sight;
Titanic is still preferred, even though the Europeans are making headway,
Ponzi two is still game on, it is loved for its low volatility,
Don't ignore the small cap, she may surprise you yet, show her a little bit of love.
Titanic with Ponzi two with small dash of small cap is still the best diversified portfolio there is according to Algozen™...

All sifus, i have a question on the purchase fund.

Let's say i have purchased the ABC fund by using EPF account 1 amount 10k and 10k by online payment FPX.

Total ABC fund purchased = 20,000

After 5years i sell off ABC fund total of 25,000

how much of amount will go to my EPF account? 12,500? or i can choose 10,000 back to EPF account and 15,000 to my bank account.

Or i have the full flexibility to control total 25,000?

Not sifu here, just hardknocked sucker tongue.gif

Invested
$10K EPF - account 123 Fund 123
$10K Cash - account 124 Fund 123

There will be a demarcation between cash VS EPF funded purchases
THUS, when U redeem (sell), U need to specify which to sell units from

Simple?

Money received from EPF will be in a separate account than the cash purchase.

Again, maybe i'm still not clear enough.

After your explanation, this is my understanding:

Invested in same day, same NAV- total 20k
$10k EPF - ABC fund
$10k Cash - ABC Fund

After 5years sell of ABC fund - total 25k
$12.5k go to EPF account
$12.5k go to Bank account

is this correct?

Now my concern is can i transfer the profit 2.5k fund that i purchased by using EPF account 1 to my bank account?

no you cannot. whatever profit you make from your epf will directly be credited into your epf. this is to ensure people do not abuse the loophole of taking money out from account 2

Q: How do I redeem a unit trust holding invested through EPF Account 1?
A: First you need to place a sell order online for the EPF Account 1 invested fund you wish to redeem.

Q: When I sell units that were purchased through my EPF Account 1, do I get a cheque for the proceeds?
A: The proceeds will be credited directly to your EPF Account 1.

i think internally there will be a clear cut line between the invested amount from EPF and ur cash. u invest rm1000 via cash, later u invest 1000 via epf, maybe they will show average weight of total amount of units and price, but at the end of the day when u cash out they will count properly.

Mapping my portfolio to Algozen's recommendation
Titanic = 3.4%, plan to increase to 10%
Ponzi 2.0 = 4.6%, plan to increase to 6.7%, additionally I still have 2.4% in CIMB greater china.
Small cap = 12.3%, plan to reduce to 8.6%

hmm.gif maybe this?
Stocks Dragged Down by Commodities, Carmakers as Treasuries Jump
European stocks tumbled, led by miners and carmakers, and U.S. equity-index futures declined as sliding commodity prices sparked a selloff in higher-yielding assets.
