any recommended US exposure? I sold RHB OSK US Focus Equity fund, as i am worried about collapse because it is a micro-small cap fund, which is very volatile. Now my exposure to US is thru EI global leader, which is around 50% US according to factsheet.

luckily i sold more than half of my KGF before it drop below single digit. Now it is near the borderline to red. Transferred most of them into RHB ATR fund. this ATR fund seems gooding.
too bad didnt anticipate china fund drop, my big cap china from 20% to negative and now just back to positive 0. something lol.. Is it time to topup china fund? or shud i just top up more on ATR so my fixed income portion is bigger to as i feel like shit storm is coming soon.

QUOTE(T231H @ Aug 13 2015, 03:24 PM) if i can feel the shit storm is coming, instead of moving to FI, I would sell all and keep cash in CMF...then wait for redeployment as FI could be affected too. is it? i tot FI is quite stable if shit storm is coming becos everyone will park inside bond fund. Very itchy wanna topup china fund. Seems like everyone welcome china devalue yen, while everyone ditching RM when RM getting lowered lol..

It doesnt mean tat the others ratio is having less economy downturn and economy downturn is owes there, in real life. Looking at past performance, 20yrs is a long period and it covers up and down and stagnant period of a economy. So if thats the case.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Aug 26 2015, 02:23 PM) Affin Hwang Select Opportunity is a Bolehland equity fund But I selected it over KGF bcos it can invest up to 30% offshore, whereas KGF is mati-mati 100% Bolehland oops i mistaken that as asia opp lol.. now buy in amdynamic performance still ok kah? maybe i also need some msia bond exposure. But still, prepare bullet to topup equity first, since bond no sales charge.

i think ppl rush in and buy during merdeka promo, even drop 1%, u still earn 0.5% if u buy at normal charge 2%. That's y those buying with public mutual manurelife agent 5.5% sc, need how long to recover? summore i got fren enter at high, then msia drop like flies, his fund negative double digit until today also cannot recover. Even u buy bond also kena charge at those agent, 5 or 3% i forget oledi. i think is also 5%.
to me, less sc mean u squeeze more value/unit out of ur investment.

QUOTE(river.sand @ Sep 3 2015, 04:57 PM) If you invest for long term, the 5.5% SC isn't a big amount, as you only pay once. But if you keep buying and selling, then - except in the case of free switching - the SC indeed will eat into your return. See the table attached... For people with little knowledge on trust fund, at least they get advice from their agents. But of course among people in this thread, Pinky and Xuzen are better advisors of coz in 10yrs 5% is nothing, but every top up u gonna pay 5%, and some agents is just selling for the sake of selling, no research one. Just tell u ok buy this growth fund, past performance ROI 10% annum. I am just saying that when u buy it high, 5% gonna eat ur investment alot. The only good is that switching from fund to fund is FOC for a few times per year.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 10 2015, 09:29 AM) I've been enjoying double digits IRR on this for >1 year already... Forex + Asian countries' monetary easing (interest rate cuts, stimulus etc) ohh.. i tot interest rate cuts bond will go lower? or go the opposite way, owes confused haha. if US hike interest rate, means bond will go down? feel like topping this up more instead of others, going up so fast, even equity also lose lol..
