Hi:
I'm a bit confused confused.gif . As far as I know beginning 2015, if your salary is RM34,000 p.a. (after KWSP deduction), you have to pay income tax. Then how about me, in 2015 I worked contract for 5 months only RM15,367 p.a.ONLY, need I pay income tax and fill for returns too?
Thanks in advance icon_question.gif

Nope
It's the responsibility of every individual to report their Income via employment/biz to LHDN

Hi,

Regarding this clause as annouced in 2016 budget:

Taxpayers who are paying to support their parents, even if they are not living in the same residence, will receive a tax exemption of RM1,500 for each parent they are supporting so long as each individual parent does not earn more than RM2,000 per month by themselves and are above 60 years of age.

May I know is it applicable for TT2015 or only valid for TT2016?

Thanks

Hi all, I have a question regarding income tax. As I know, we can get tax relief from buying books right? If we buy e-books from online such as google play store, can we get income tax relief from the purchase?

Hi Sifus, 2 more questions here

1. Is the dental treatments (filling, washing) are only applicable the relief of medical treatment for parents, but not medical treatment for tax payer?

2. Is knee supports applicable to relief of medical treatments for parents or supporting equipments? I bought it for my parents to ease their knee's pain while walking. It is elastic, not for sport.

Something like this

Thank you very much for the reply.

If I understand it correctly, means that electronics receipt is acceptable also, right?

Thanks.

You can if you do not have car or house under your name.

Cz it will trigger LHDN to do the checking on you. (no income but gt house and car...LHDN sure audit )

Are you fresh grad? Speaking from personal experience, I did not file during my first working year. Cause started working in sept.

While I am not familiar with the law, I won't be afraid that lhdn will hunt me down cause I didn't file it that year first year I started working. I have been filing every year after that.

All sifu,

Need advise on income on property rental:

1. If rented for 7 months in 2015, do I need to prorate the quit rent/fire insurance/assessment tax?

2. How about rebate on rental properties maintenance ? Is it inclusive of maintenance fees(monthly paid to condo management office )?

3. Any other items I can use to get the rebate on rental income ?

4. Books/PC receipts without gst registration number is considered invalid ?

5. For people at tax bracket 19, does that mean each 1000 deduction he will get back RM190?

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you very much.

Last year, I filled the details of unit trust (Public Mutual funds) in the HK3 section, located in "Pendapatan berkanun dividen dan sewa".

For e-Filing this year, I cannot seem to locate the HK3 section. So, where should I key in the dividend I gain from my unit trust?

Thanks for the advice. smile.gif
