Hello fellow sifus, am first timer to do tax declaration through e-filing and got a bit confuse with the process and those strange terms that i never heard before.
1. Pendapatan Berkanun (Statutory Income) - What is this means? Gross annual income (Before deduction of EPF) + Bonus? I assume this column fill with the Grand Total (Section B and C) in my EA form. Correct?
2. There is a relief of Life Insurance + EPF. I wonder why the system doesn't auto calculate the EPF deductions from our Pendapatan Berkanun ? Instead we need to fill in ourself (As per the EPF deduction from EA form + life insurance) ?
3. Read somewhere saids that PTPTN repayment is not entitled for tax relief in the category of Personal Education. Just a confirmation here. And want to know how this work? I'm a degree holder and working now, if i continue my study as Master (part time) then I can get relief here?
4. What is the purpose of filling in my bank account number in? For refund purpose?
5. Do I need to declare if there are Shares are bought under my name (Not yet sell, but profiting)? Or until i sell it and profit, then only need to declare (under Pendapatan berkanun faedah, diskaun, royalti, premium, pencen, anuiti, bayaran berkala lain dan apa-apa perolehan atau keuntungan lain )?
6. Can I put my medical card fees in section of Insurans pendidikan dan perubatan for relief?
Thanks in advance and appreciate.
1. Annual gross income without any deduction
2. You can file a feedback
3. If you're forking the money yourself and you're studying for the eligible course listed on the year of assessment, you can file for the relief. No sure if you're not paying the bill and under scholarship, loan or even company education assistance programme.
4. Refund. If don't put your account number, your refund will be given in term of vouchers like BR1M or BB1M.
5. No. Capital gain is not entitled for tax. Dividend has been taxed at company tax rate.
6. Yes. Follow the ratio of premium payment in the annual statement.
