All sifu,

Need advise on income on property rental:

1. If rented for 7 months in 2015, do I need to prorate the quit rent/fire insurance/assessment tax?

2. How about rebate on rental properties maintenance ? Is it inclusive of maintenance fees(monthly paid to condo management office )?

3. Any other items I can use to get the rebate on rental income ?

4. Books/PC receipts without gst registration number is considered invalid ?

5. For people at tax bracket 19, does that mean each 1000 deduction he will get back RM190?

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you very much.

the "Medical/life" means the amount can be claimed for either category; however the GE Income Tax statement below has this condition:

Only 60% of premiums paid are eligible for tax relief as medical policy. However, 100% of premiums paid are eligible for tax relief as life policy.

usually under Life/KWSP, we always maxed out 6k/year due to KWSP.

so put all 3 under Medical instead lor; however the Medical/Life amount, only 60%.

Personal Accident or Accident Rider fall under Life category as well?

No means not eligible.
You should receive an annual statement from your insurance provider.

Hello guys,
Need advise/guidelines - Can I know what is the amount to put for this tax relief - under lifestyle?

(i) Phone Price (RRP): RM699
(ii) Phone Price (on Sales): RM499
(iii) Accessories (RRP): RM39.90
(iv) Accessories (on Sales Price): RM9.90
(v) Shipping Fee: RM4.50
(vi) Shipping (Discount): -RM4.50
(vii) Shopee Coins Redeemed: -RM30
(viii) Shopee Voucher: -RM5
(ix) Shopee Voucher 2: -RM8

ORDER TOTAL appeared in sales invoice: RM465.90

Is phone power adapter considered part of the relief? (since more and more manufacturer exclude the adapter for phone purchase)

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

if for me, i'd take the "safe" option: (ii) Phone Price (on Sales): RM499

that's the actual phone price that you actually paid.

accessories not eligible lor, not part of the phone

Submission on 20/3, till to-date, no approval yet from their end. 🤔 Anyone submitted on 20/3 and got their approval and refund already?

Is it normal for the status to remain "No record" under refund?

Is the tax rebate for medical devices (e.g. Blood pressure monitor) only applicable for FY2025?
