QUOTE(nicolelim28 @ Apr 3 2016, 08:27 AM) What does it means? use efiling in english. you will find that it makes sense.telah melupuskan syer dalam syarikat harta tanah dan/atau harta tanah di bawah akta cukai keuntungan harta tanah 1976 question... the medical insurance part... say my premium is 800... but including gst it will be 848. 1) so the tax relief part is 848 or 800? (btw, the statement that the insurance company sent points to 800 for medical premium) say i contributed 1000 last year to prs. including the annual fee of 8.48, it will be 1008.48. 2) so tax relief under prs is 1008 or 1000? QUOTE(repusez @ Apr 6 2016, 03:10 PM) it doenst matter if i'm the one who paid for kids' medical insurance but wife is the one claiming the relief ? Eh waitttttt... to claim under that medical/education insurance you need to fulfill certain criteria. i'm pretty sure kid's medical not eligible for that category.sorry, no time to google the info, but you can only claim medical under your own. when you go for education, the policy must a) mature at/before your kid turns 25. b) you are the policy owner and that you have attached a payor waiver. google please. thanks. bye. |

QUOTE(haha0803 @ Apr 17 2016, 05:15 PM) hey guys, I started to work/do personal business at late last year (Aug/Sep), can I just ignore the filing this time and wait until the next filing? Are you fresh grad? Speaking from personal experience, I did not file during my first working year. Cause started working in sept. While I am not familiar with the law, I won't be afraid that lhdn will hunt me down cause I didn't file it that year first year I started working. I have been filing every year after that. |

So for the complete medical examination, does normal blood test count?
cause the receipt given by my clinic is written as medical examination. |

Public Ruling by LHDN
https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2012...ve-to-be-taxing So I'm thinking about doing a medical check up for tax relief purposes, my company does not cover. it will be out of my own pocket. looking at the star article, looks like i dont need to do any test beyond a simple blood test, just need to let the doctor touch touch only. but how to prove on item 1? QUOTE 1. Physical examination: checking weight, blood pressure, eyes, ears, nose and throat, examining your neck for the size of the thyroid gland and any enlarged lymph nodes, listening to your chest and heart as well as breast and abdominal examination; 2. Laboratory tests: blood tests, urine analysis and pap smear. Blood test checking on your cholesterol level, thyroid hormones, complete blood count; and/or 3. Consultation by attending doctor Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2012...BE3vetRTcqHc.99 |

Example my medical examination is 1100, but the max for the item below is 500.
Is it legal for me to claim 500 under me, and 500 under my husband but under 1 receipt? Complete medical examination for self, spouse or child |

QUOTE(MUM @ Jul 28 2020, 03:46 PM) is it this? thanks. didnt look hard enough. if that's the case going to zoo negara count but flying to penang does not count. 3. Special income tax relief for domestic travelling expenses In the earlier economic stimulus package, a special income tax relief of up to RM1,000 is given to resident individuals for domestic travelling expenses incurred between 1 March 2020 to 31 August 2020. The expenses eligible for the tax relief are as follows: accommodation fees on tourist accommodation premises registered with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia; and entrance fees to tourist attractions To support the tourism sector, it is proposed that the special income tax relief be extended to 31 December 2021. https://www.grantthornton.com.my/globalasse...lan-penjana.pdf another site, ....... page 6 of this https://www.pwc.com/my/en/assets/publicatio...020-penjana.pdf |

We need to fix our pindaan and we 'overstate' the tax relief. Can I use the e-peromohonan pindaan BE?
In the header there is this statement Saya, HUGH JACKMAN tidak berpuas hati dengan taksiran bertarikh 23/04/2030 yang menunjukkan RM1000.00 sebagai cukai yang kena dibayar bagi tahun taksiran 2019, merayu kepada KPHDN kerana ianya berlebihan disebabkan kesilapan berikut: This post has been edited by adele123: Aug 17 2020, 02:19 PM |

QUOTE(Leroi2x @ Nov 28 2020, 08:33 PM) hi all , would like to ask Based amount paid in the year. Not the effective period of the insurance. if i currently dont have a life insurance and i plan to buy a life insurance now ,before end of year lets say the annual premium is 3k , and i decide to pay annually but not monthly would i have tax relief of 3k ,since i already pay premium for 3k or 3k/12 month = 250 for tax relief , as the insurance only run 1 month So if you pay 3k now it counts. want to ask this here instead of job/career section.
For most of us who change job, example your official last day is 5 Jan 2021 based on the notice period, the old company X, and you start new job 1 Jan 2021, let's call it company Y. but actually for company X, you are on leave from 1st Jan to 5th Jan 2021. So when you look at the EA form, it looks like you are working for 2 companies at the same time from 1st to 5th Jan. Will LHDN care? is there a law says can't work for 2 companies? Company Y is asking me about this and says no, you cannot start on 1st Jan, must start on 5th Jan. I think LHDN dont care as long as i pay my taxes. need 2nd opinion. PS: actually i have done this before in my ex company 4-5 years back, but the gap is 2 days instead of 4-5 days. i very pening from Company Y's HR This post has been edited by adele123: Dec 16 2020, 11:45 AM |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Dec 16 2020, 11:47 AM) i think LHDN does not care the number of jobs you do....just remember to add up ALL those incomes when declaring problem is, company Y insist, cannot. we will help you pay the short notice period from 1 Jan to 5 Jan.so i'm not sure what to tell them. thinking just to tell them either i start 6 jan or i will worry about LHDN myself from 1 Jan to 5 Jan. Hence need some advice on the forum. especially tax expert. |

Is computer parts allowable as tax relief? Example buying parts and replace the parts pc instead of buying a new laptop? Anyone has experience in this?
