I think no, anyway the kopi peng in the chinese kopitiam is very GOOD

BSS actually under Majlis Perbandaran Nilai not Seremban based on signboard I captured in front of Elvina.

Expect more Chinese kopitam after Metro Park n Merchant Square open later as I noticed more n more Chinese buyer especially Hijayu series.

But project is under daerah Seremban.

Yup daerah Seremban but administer by Nilai Municipal Council, however after both Nilai n Seremban Municipal Council merge and form Seremban City Council later all are the same. Endorsement have been granted but documentation not yet complete.

SEREMBAN, 30 NOV – Pengisytiharan Seremban sebagai sebuah bandar raya akan membolehkan Majlis Bandaraya Seremban memberikan perkhidmatan perbandaran yang menyeluruh ke seluruh daerah. Perkhidmatan yang diberikan termasuklah menyediakan kemudahan awam dan infrastruktur yang sempurna, perkhidmatan kebersihan yang efisien dan kawalan pembangunan yang terancang.

Bagaimanapun, Kerajaan Negeri Sembilan tidak mahu tergesa-gesa untuk mengisytiharkan Seremban sebagai sebuah Bandar raya. MPS dan MPN perlu memastikan asas-asas untuk menjadi sebuah bandar raya dipenuhi terlebih dahulu kerana banyak perkara yang perlu diselaraskan iaitu penggabungan majlis, sistem percukaian, sistem perparitan dan pengangkutan sebelum boleh diisytiharkan sebagai sebuah bandar raya.

Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan berkata demikian ketika menjawab pertanyaan Adun Mambau berkaitan perancangan Kerajaan Negeri untuk menaik taraf MPS dan MPN bergabung menjadi Majlis Bandaraya Seremban.

“Pada ketika ini kerajaan sedang sedang menambah baik persediaan fizikal terutama dari aspek infrastruktur, penyediaan kemudahan awam yang lengkap, keceriaan bandar di Daerah Seremban dan memperkemaskan persediaan dalaman MPS dan MPN seperti perkhidmatan percukaian dan hasil, pengurusan sumber manusia, pengurusan ICT dan undang-undang kecil. Ini adalah untuk memastikan pengisytiharan Seremban sebagai bandar raya kelak akan membawa kesejahteraan kepada penduduk Daerah Seremban,” jelasnya.

Budget 2016 revision: PSD scholarships cut, GST rate stays

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 — Putrajaya announced in its Budget 2016 revision today cuts to public scholarships, but said salary increments for civil servants and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate of 6 per cent would be retained.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the government will continue four Public Service Department (PSD) scholarship programmes this year as scheduled, which are the national scholarship programme for the top 20 SPM graduates to study overseas; a special engineering programme for 200 students to go to Japan, Korea, Germany and France; a bursary programme for 744 students to study for their first degree at public and private local universities; and scholarships for 8,000 students to study their first degree locally.

“#Bajet2016 The government guarantees that it’s committed to education issues and to our children’s future,” Najib said in a tweet even as he announced the changes to Budget 2016 in a live broadcast from Putrajaya.

When checked against the PSD website, the agency said the national scholarship for local and overseas undergraduate study was offered to the top 50 SPM graduates, indicating that 30 students were cut in the Budget 2016 revision.

The engineering scholarship programme for undergraduate study in Japan, Korea, France and Germany was also listed in the website as being offered to 300 students, indicating a reduction of 100 students in the revised Budget 2016.

The PSD bursary programme was also open for undergraduate study at foreign institutions last year, according to a report by The Star, with only dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, dietetics and architecture fields limited to local institutions.

He added that the RM5 billion allocation for National Higher Education Fund Corporation loans will continue to be channeled to tertiary students.

The prime minister also said the annual salary increment for civil servants would be implemented as scheduled on July 1.

“The government will continue spending prudently; we will not touch the emoluments of public servants and we will not lay off civil servants, including contract staff,” he said.

The prime minister said several infrastructure projects like the MRT and LRT, Pan Borneo Highway, the Malaysian Vision Valley, Cyber City Centre, Pengerang and the High-Speed Rail would be continued as planned.

He also said Putrajaya would continue building 10 Urban Transformation Centres, which provide government services to city residents, at Labuan, Sg Petani, Miri, Sibu, Kota Baru, Kuala Terengganu, Tawau, Keningau, Seremban and Kangar.

Najib’s announcement about PSD scholarships came after a local Chinese daily reported recently that the government agency had suspended disbursing funds and halted its e-profiling system for all tertiary courses, including pre-university programmes, both locally and abroad.

The revised Budget 2016 was announced today amid the continued plunge of global oil prices that hit Malaysia’s revenue.

The original Budget 2016 tabled last October had been based on an estimated US$48 (RM202.46) oil price per barrel.

The revised government budget now assumes an oil price of between US$30 and US$35 per barrel.
